Abstract:
The electrode material for a lithium secondary battery according to the present invention includes particles of a solid state alloy having silicon as a main component, wherein the particles of the solid state alloy have a microcrystal or amorphous material including an element other than silicon, dispersed in microcrystalline silicon or amorphized silicon. The solid state alloy preferably contains a pure metal or a solid solution. The composition of the alloy preferably has an element composition in which the alloy is completely mixed in a melted liquid state, whereby the alloy has a single phase in a melted liquid state without pressure of two or more phases. The element composition can be determined by the kind of elements constituting the alloy and an atomic ratio of the elements.

There is disclosed an apparatus and a method for processing images, with which a specific original can be discriminated from others with a high accuracy. An image processing apparatus according to the present invention comprises an input unit (210) for producing visible information and invisible information, a detecting unit for detecting a line image portion of an image represented by the visible information, and a discriminating unit (3) for discriminating an original having a predetermined pattern in accordance with the detection by the detecting unit and the visible information.

Image processing apparatus comprising an input means to input the data of objective pixel, calculation means to obtain average density value in the specified region and quantization means to quantize the data of the objective pixel based on the said average density value wherein the entire image including its edge is effectively binalized and in the serial scanning of data, continuity is not lost at the connection of scans, thus enabling to obtain the image with excellent gradation and resolution.
