    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a regulating method capable of correcting the lateral shear among respective head units, by a method wherein codes for regulating the lateral shear among respective head units are added to data sent from a host computer, which are recognized as data including the codes on the printer side. CONSTITUTION:The data put into respective memories 12A-12D from a host computer 10 are sent to head units 1A-1D corresponding thereto and the recording is carried out by driving respective head units on the basis thereof. When respective color data stored in the data memories 12A-12D are sent to respective head units 1A-1D, the lateral shear among respective head units is corrected by regulating the read position of the data memory. For instance, if the head unit 1B of magenta is laterally lagged by 4 dot contents (lateral shear delta) leftward to a reference position S, though respective data of yellow, cyan, and black are sent out from reference read positions, the color data of magenta is sent out from a position lagged by 4 dots in the DT direction from the reference read position.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the head element structure of upper and lower columns identical to each other by constituting the titled printer such that a shift direction of a data signal of each head element of the upper column and that of the lower column are reversed to each other. CONSTITUTION:The head unit 1 is provided with plural head elements HE1-HE14 arranged in zigzag on upper and lower columns and the elements of an odd number order are arranged to the lower column and those of an even number order are arranged on the upper column respectively. The elements on the upper column are fitted in the normal upper/lower attitude and the elements of the lower column are fitted in the attitude taking upside down together with shift registers SR1, SR3-SR13. Shift registers SR2, SR4-SR14 corresponding to the elements of upper column are connected so that the data signal is inputted from the left sequentially. On the other hand, the shift registers SR1-SR13 of the lower column are connected reversely to the shift direction of the shift registers of upper column.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the production cost of the titled apparatus and to prevent the sealing of foreign matters, by arranging a liquid jet nozzle and a filter for filtering the liquid supplied to said nozzle while forming the aforementioned nozzle and the filter from the same member. CONSTITUTION:The single side of a filter fixing member 11 fromed in a tubular form is inlaid with and fixed to the rear end of a nozzle member 2 in the opposite side of the orifice 1 thereof and a filter member 12 formed of a member same to that of the nozzle member 12 is connected to the opposite side of the filter fixing member 11. The side of the orifice 13 of the filter member 12 is immersed in the ink 8 stored in the ink tank 14 arranged to the rear part in an ink jet head 10. The ink 8 in the ink tank 14 enters the filter member 12 from the orifice of the filter member 12 and supplied to the nozzle member 2 through the filter member 12 and the filter fixing member 11.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the occurrence of unnecessary curves and wrinkles after election, and accomplish smooth ejection by providing a frame height adjusting member that heightens the apparatus main body during the use of a continuous material to be conveyed. SOLUTION: The desk printer 1 can use a continuous recording medium 10 as well as a fixed form recording medium as a fixed form material to be conveyed. The printer 1 is attached with a height adjusting member 3 rotatably to the printer main body 3, and when the frame height is heightened, the frame height adjusting member 3 is rotated downward to be set as a leg of the printer 1. When a fixed form recording medium is used, the frame height 3 is folded upward along the side face of the printer main body 2 so as to set the frame height adjusting member 3 low. During the use of the continuous recording medium 10, the height of the printer main body 2 is set high by means of the frame body adjusting member 3. Thus, the continuous recording medium 10 being ejected hangs down through its dead weight between it and the installation face 5, and then is folded and doubled at the time when its tip end hits against the installation face.

SOLUTION: A paper feed roller 1 is right turned and a double feed detection roller 2 is left turned. When a paper sheet 3 is fed in a feeding direction and fed upto a prescribed position, the paper feed roller 1 is stopped and when the double feed detection roller 2 is right turned, the double feed detection roller 2 is rotated when the paper sheet is fed doubly and as the double feed detection roller 2 is not moved, even if the double feed roller 2 is right turned when the paper sheet is not fed doubly, the existence/absence of the double feeding of the paper sheet can be detected.

The inequalities I-III are the conditions to set the outer dimensions of the printer small when the sheets are stored in the U-shaped manner, while the inequalities IV-VI are the conditions to optimally feed the sheets which are stored in the U-shaped manner. Recording paper is fed by a pickup roller 4 to be sent to a feed roller 7. Paper feed means 2, 3 are cassette type paper feed parts and a plurality of arbitrary recording papers or OHP recording papers can be set. When recording is applied to the OHP recording paper, the plain paper set to the paper feed part other than the paper feed part to which the OHP recording paper is set is sent out at each time when the recording to the OHP recording paper is completed to be superposed on the recorded OHP recording paper in a discharge part.
