Abstract:
A method is disclosed performed by an accessory device in connection with an ostomy appliance configured to be placed on a user having a stoma. The method includes capturing one or more images of the user's stoma, processing the images, including: identifying the stoma; and generating indicia representative of a cutting line for the ostomy appliance as a function of the identified stoma, wherein the cutting line defines a hole to be formed on the ostomy appliance. The method further includes providing a visual display including: an appliance representation; and the indicia on the appliance representation.
Abstract:
A base plate and/or a sensor assembly part for an ostomy appliance is disclosed, the base plate and/or the sensor assembly part comprising a first adhesive layer with a proximal side configured for attachment of the base plate and/or the sensor assembly part to the skin surface of a user, the first adhesive layer having a stomal opening with a center point; and a plurality of electrodes including a ground electrode, a first electrode, and a second electrode, the ground electrode comprising a ground connection part, the first electrode comprising a first connection part, and the second electrode comprising a second connection part; wherein the ground electrode forms a ground for the first electrode and the second electrode.
Abstract:
A system for anal and/or stomal irrigation of a user's bowel comprises a reservoir (102) for an irrigating liquid, a catheter (100) for insertion into the rectum and/or stoma of a user and for expelling of the irrigating liquid from a catheter tip, and an expandable retention element (104), such as a balloon, for fixation of the catheter tip within the user's rectum or stoma. Tubing and valve systems provide conduits for the irrigating liquid between the reservoir and the catheter and between the reservoir and the expandable retention element, a pump (101) being provided within the tubing system. The pump and the valve system is controllable to selectively pump the irrigating liquid into the expandable retention element, transfer the irrigating liquid through the catheter for expelling of the irrigating fluid from the catheter tip and into the user's rectum or stoma, and to withdraw the irrigating liquid from the retention element for purging thereof.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a base plate for an ostomy appliance, comprising: at least a first layer of an adhesive material adapted for attachment of the base plate to the skin surface of a user. The base plate further comprises a backing layer comprising a film material forming a distal and a proximal surface of the backing layer, wherein a stoma-receiving opening extending through the base plate is provided in a center portion of the base plate. The base plate further comprises a first sensor element comprising at least one sensor pair, the sensor pair comprising a first sensor and a second sensor. Each of the first sensor and the second sensor connected to a control unit interface, such that an electrical signal can be conducted between a respective sensor and the control unit interface. The first sensor element is provided between the first layer of adhesive material and the proximal surface of the backing layer. Each of the first sensor and the second sensor of the sensor pair comprises a conductor electrode and a ground electrode. The second sensor of the sensor pair is located at a greater radial distance from the stoma-receiving opening than the first sensor of the sensor pair.
Abstract:
An ostomy system is disclosed, the ostomy system comprising an ostomy appliance, a monitor device and a docking station. The monitor device comprises a first interface comprising a plurality of terminals. The docking station comprises a docking monitor interface configured to electrically and/or mechanically couple the monitor device and the docking station. The first interface is configured to couple the monitor device to the ostomy appliance and couple the monitor device to the docking station.
