Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize an autofocus camera which achieves photographing at the very closest distance by setting a photographic optical system as usual when a focal distance is within the autofocus-available range, and focusing the photographic optical system when it is a specific closest distance other than the available range. CONSTITUTION:When an object is photographed within the ordinary autofocus range, a photographer carries out photographing without turning on a close-up mode selecting switch S. When a range-finding distance is equal to or more than 1m, the focal point of the lens L is adjusted according to the result of the operation which is based on the output of the range-finder 1, and a shutter is opened and closed. On the other hand, when the object is photographed, for example, at the distance of 0.3m, a release button is depressed after the switch S is turned on. Thus, a CPU 2 operates the position of the movement of the lens, and moves the lens; when the distance of the object from the camera, which is range-found, matches 0.3m, the CPU 2 opens and closes the shutter by means of a shutter control circuit 3, and carries out photographing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a legible display in a photographing range with a variety of focal length without parallax and an unnecessary frame display by providing moving members which change the position of a finder visual field frame together with the moves of 1st and 2nd operating members used at the time of focusing and zooming, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The finder device is provided with the visual field frame position moving member 5 to 14 which change the position of the finder visual field frame 3a in a finder together with the moves of the 1st and 2nd moving members used at the time of focusing and zooming, respectively. The parallax of the finder due t the difference between an object distance and the focal length of a zoom lens can be eliminated by changing the position of the finder visual field frame 3a in the finder together with the moves of the 1st and 2nd moving members driven based on the difference information. Thus, a photographing range with a variety of focal length can be legibly displayed without parallax and an unnecessary from display to inform a photographer appropriately.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the required space small and obtain the high waterproof performance by providing a driven member moved in the perpendicular direction to the moving direction of an operating member and forming a drain groove along the sliding face of the operating member. If the finger is removed from the projection 3a when the sphere 5 drops in a recess 2b, the member 3 is stopped, and the protruded quantity of the axial section of the member 7 becomes the length determined by the cam face 3c. A drain groove 1a is formed on the wall face of the housing room of the member 3, and the water accumulated in spaces S1 and S2 passes the groove 1a and flows out to the opening 1b of an outer cover 1.

In this arrangement, even though the positioning of a paper cassette 17 is released by moving a cassette knob 18 for example, downward, there is no such a risk that the paper feed cassette is pushed out by the returning force of the cassette returning spring 34 and therefore the cassette is separated away from from the position of the device, since the paper feed rollers 120 make into contact with the sheets P stored in the paper feed cassette 17 at the position of the device. Accordingly it is possible to prevent the sheets P stored in the cassette from being broken, and to prevent the paper feed rollers from being damaged.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce load at the time of moving a carriage, enable a high-speed scanning movement and contrive a longer useful life and a maintenance-free mechanism, by using a dynamic-pressure bearing at a carriage bearing part, and providing a lubricant-supplying member at a position to which a carriage is selectively brought on a guide shaft. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition where a head unit 1 is located at a home position, a right end part of a carriage 2 makes contact with the supplying member 5 at the right end, and the dynamic-pressure bearing 25 is supplied with a lubricant. When the unit is moved to a stand-by position for recording, a left side part thereof makes contact with the supplying member 5 on the opposite side, and a lubricant is supplied. The bearing 25 has an inner peripheral surface provided with a plurality of oblique grooves, with the direction of inclination of each of the groove being opposite to that of the adjacent groove. When the carriage 2 is moved in the direction of arrow A, a positive pressure is generated relative to the surface of a guide shaft 3 by the combinations of the grooves 251-252 and 253-254, and when the carriage 2 is moved in the direction of arrow B, a positive pressure is also generated by the combinations of the grooves 252-253 and 254-255. Accordingly, the carriage 2 is moved extremely smoothly under a low load and a small load variations.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance containability and enable other apparatuses to be stuck up on the upper surface of a recorder, by a construction wherein the fitting of a cassette containing cut recording papers, the removal of a recorded recording paper and the fitting of an ink cartridge can be performed on the same side of a recorder. CONSTITUTION:On the front side of the recorder, the ink cartridge 12 is inserted-in with the ink-supplying side directed to the deep side, and when the ink is used up, the cartridge 12 is drawn out by oscillating a releasing knob 13 downward. A knob 14 is provided for releasing the pressing of a resist roller and a pinch roller against a platen, and serves effectively upon a trouble such as jamming of the paper. The rollers are again pressed against the platen by a resetting button 15. A paper-supplying cassette 17 can be fitted in position by inserting it into the printer, with a handle part 17a on the operator's side. An operating panel 6 is provided on the front side. Accordingly, since all of a fitting part for the ink cartridge, a fitting part for the paper cassette, a part for removing the recorded recording paper and an operating part are provided on the front side, operability is enhanced, and other apparatuses can be placed on the lateral sides, the upper side or the like of the recorder.

The counter circuit 5, on the other hand, starts counting down. Further, the coincidence signals outputted to a display switching circuit 7, which them switches the display pattern of a liquid crystal display device 8 (e.g. enlarged display) by inputting the coincidence signal.
