Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated product with a layer of a fluorinated adhesive affording a firm adhesion to substrates such as metal or glass. SOLUTION: The laminated product is composed of a substrate and an attached adhesive layer comprising a hydroxyl containing fluorinated ethylene polymer, which is a copolymer of (a) 0.05 to 30 mole% of a hydroxyl containing fluorinated ethylenic monomer and (b) 70 to 99.95 mole% of a non hydroxyl containing fluorinated ethylenic monomer. The fluorinated ethylenic monomer (b) is either one of (b-1) tetrafluoro ethylene, (b-2) a monomer blend of (b-1) and a monomer expressed by formula (3) CF 2 =CF-R f 3 (3), or (b-3) a monomer blend of (b-1) or trichloro trifluoro ethylene and another monomer copolymerizable with ethylene and these monomers. The functional group of an ethylenic polymer containing fluorine with the functional group is at least, one type of the functional group selected from among a hydoxyl group, a carboxyl group, carboxylate, a carboxyester group and an epoxy group. This functional group has such an effect as to cause the polymer containing fluorine to give high dispersibility to the matrix made up of a metal oxide.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a water repellent film exhibiting uniformly a water repellent function in a film thickness direction while preventing effectively the cloudness of a water repellent film by mixing a metallic alkoxide sol and a dispersion of water repellent particulates obtained by the emulsion polymerization and burring this coated film. CONSTITUTION:The metallic alkoxide sol and the dispersion of water repellent particulates obtained by the emulsion polymerization are prepared respectively. Then, the sol is mixed with the dispersion to prepare a coating liq. Then, after forming the coating film by applying this coating liq. on a substrate, this coating film is burnt to obtain the water repellent consisting of a continuous phase a metal oxide containing the water repellent particulates. Especially, when fluorine-containing acrylic resin is used as the water repellent particulates, the water repellent particulates having an uniform shape are easily obtained in the dispersion and the water repellent particulates having very small diameter are obtained, so that dispersibility is improved remarkably and the cloudness of the water repellent film is prevented.
