Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject low smellable catalyst having a good catalytic activity, and useful as a catalyst for producing polyurethane molded products. CONSTITUTION:This catalyst is represented by the formula (n) is 8-12, preferably 9). The catalyst is obtained preferably e.g. by subjecting 8-diaminooctane, etc., to a reductive methylation reaction, etc. The catalyst is preferably used, when a polyol is reacted with a polyisocyanate compound such as 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate. For example, N,N,N',N'-tetramethylnonanediamine is preferably used as the catalyst.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition which can give a polyurethane foam with good thermal conductivity, friability and mold filling property by incorporating three tert. amine compounds each containing a specified ring structure. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by mixing three tert. amine compounds each containing a ring structure in the molecule and represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each 1-3C alkyl or dimethylaminoalkyl or hydroxyalkyl with 1-3C alkyl), formula II (wherein R3 and R4 are each 1-3C alkyl or cyclohexyl) and formula III (wherein R5 is H or 1-C alkyl; R is 1-4C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl). The mixing ratio is such that 5-20wt.% compound of formula I, 5-20wt.% compound of formula II and 60-90wt.% compound of formula III are mixed with each other. Only when a catalyst containing all of these three compounds is used, a urethane foam with good thermal conductivity, friability and mold filling property can be produced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a polyurethane excellent in flow properties, operability and processability, by reacting a compound containing isocyanate-reactive hydro gen atoms with a polyisocyanate in the presence of a specified catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A compound (A) having at least two isocyanatereactive hydrogen atoms (e.g., polyester polyol), MW of 400-10000, is reacted with a polyisocyanate (B) (e.g., 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate) in the presence of a catalyst (C) comprising 0.1-1.0 pt. wt. triethylenediamine and 0.03-1.0 pt. wt. compound of formula I [wherein R1-4 are each a 1-5 C alkyl, X is O or a group of formu la II or III (wherein R' is R1, p is 2-4 and r is 2-3), m and n are each 1-10 and n = 01 when X is a group of formula III and a chain extender (e.g., ethyl ene glycol), a blowing agent, a foam stabilizer, etc. (D).
