Abstract: PURPOSE:To extend the life of an electret filter by subjecting the electret filter whose electrostatic force is lost by the collection of charged dust particles to dielectric polarization to make it possible to further collect charged dust particles by electrostatic force. CONSTITUTION:A charging part 1 consisting of discharge wires 2, parallel plate electrodes 3 and a DC high voltage power supply 4 is provided on the upstream side of an air stream and an electret filter 6 is arranged on the downstream side of the air stream in a corrugated shape so as to cross an air passage. The second discharge wires 7 are provided on the upstream side of the filter 6 and a metal net 8 is provided on the downstream side of said filter 6 in a corrugated shape along the filter 6. Voltage is applied to said discharge wires 7 and the net 8 is earthed to apply electric fields to the filter 6 by the discharge wires 7 and the net 8 and the discharge wires 7 are arranged on the upstream side of the air stream from the ridge lines faced to the upstream side of the air stream of the filter 6. As a result, the life of the filter 6 is extended and the collection efficiency of dust particles is enhanced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the dust collecting efficiency and to prolong the life of filter by disposing electret filters accompanied with metallic nets in wave form, and dielectrically polarizing the electret filters having lost the dielectric force by collecting charged particle. CONSTITUTION:The discharge part 1 provided in the upstream side of air flow consists of high potential dischage lines 2, earthed metallic electrode plates 3, and high potential electric power source 4. In the dust collecting part 5 provided in the downstream side of air flow, the electret filters 6 are disposed in wave form and high potential discharge lines 7 and metallic nets 8 are provided respectively in upstream side and downstream side so that the filters are between them, and high potential is impressed to the high potential discharge lines 7 from an electric power source 9. Thus, by raising the effective area of electret filter to reduce the wind velocity passing through the filters, the pressure loss is reduced and the dust collecting efficiency is improved, and, by impressing high potential to the high potential discharge lines 7, the filters having lost the dielectric force are dielectrically polarized to collect charged particles again by the dielectric force.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To sufficiently collect dust particles by providing a sensor for outputting a signal detected by an electret filter and a display means. CONSTITUTION:Charged particles 17 are collected by the electret filter 6, and the efficiency in collecting the charged particles 17 is decreased as the operating time is increased. Consequently, a motor 9 is driven, and the filter 6 is wound with the surface coated with the charged particles turned inward. As the remainder of the filter 6 is gradually reduced, whether the notch of the filter 6 as a means 10 to be detected passes an optical sensor 11 or not is detected by the sensor. When the notch 10 of the means 11 is detected by the sensor 11 and the detection signal is outputted, the detection signal is received by the display means 12, light is emitted from a light emitting part 13, and the remainder is displayed. The efficiency in collecting fine particles is improved in this way.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture an air purifying device with small pressure and of good efficiency by winding up an electret with filter when the value obtained by diving the value of measurement signal of a gas sensor on the downstream side of the electret filter by the value of the measurement signal of a gas sensor on the upstream side is beyond the given value. CONSTITUTION:Fine flow 18 passing through a prefilter 16 is drawn and collected by the static force on the dipole polarizer (-) side of an electret filter 6. When the measurement signal values to the polluted air of gas sensors 12 and 13 are represented by D1(t) and D2(t), the pollution factor of air P=D2(t)/ D1(t) gets larger gradually. The value P is computed by a pollution deciding means 14, and when said value comes to the given value P0, a signal is transmitted to a motor control means 15 to start a motor 9 and deliver an electret filter 6 from a delivery section 8, transferred in the wavy form throughguide rolls 11 and 12 and wound up by the given quantity in a manner of setting the air flow upstream side forming the inside by a wind-up section 7.

CONSTITUTION:An electric charging part 1 composed of a discharge wire and flat platelike electrodes 3 is positioned on the upper stream side of a flow of air and a dust collecting part 5 on the downstream side. The electric charging part 1 is divided into two parts and voltage impressed on the discharge wire 2' of one of the parts is made variable. Ozone is generated by raising voltage impressed on the discharge wire 2', a foul odor is decomposed with the ozone and the period of time in which normal deodorizing function is maintained can be prolonged.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce pressure loss and enhance the collecting efficiency of dust particles in the air by increasing the effective area of an electret filter and decreasing its filtration velocity. CONSTITUTION:A discharge part 1 consists of a discharge wire 2 provided upstream air flow and a plate electrode 3. An electret filter 6 provided downstream the air flow is arranged in a zigzag configuration and in a direction transverse to the air passage. A take-up part 7 for the filter 6 is also provided. The filter winding time for take-up is controlled by an operation time judging means 13 provided for a high voltage power source to apply a high voltage to the discharge wire 2 and the operation time of a take-up motor 9 for replacing the filter roll with the new one is controlled by a high voltage power source operating time judging means 12. As a result, pressure loss is made smaller, the collecting efficiency of dust particles in the air is improved and an appropriate amount of the filter can be replaced at an appropriate time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To deodorize to meet the requirement and retain deodorizing function for a long time by generating ozone when the odor measuring result is beyond the given value N1, computing the time required for the odor volume rising to the given value N2 or over, determining ozone generation volume and preforming deodorizing. CONSTITUTION:A charged section 1 consisting of an electrical discharge wire 2 and a flat plate electrode 3 on the upper stream side and a dust collecting section 5 on the downstream side of air flow, and odor of sucked air is sensed by an odor sensing means 12. Also, whether the measuring result from the means 12 reaches the given value N1 or not is determined by an odor volume determining means 13, and ozone is generated by an ozone generating means 14 based on the determination of means 13. Further, when ozone is generated, the required time for an odor measuring signal rising up to the given value N2 is computed by an odor volume computing means 17, based on what is measured by the determination of the means 13, while ozone generation volume is determined by an ozone generation volume determining means 18 to correspond to said required time. As a result, the device can deodorize to correspond with requirement and its deodorizing function can be retained for a long time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive the maintenance of a deodorizer at longer intervals by providing an electric change part consisting of a discharge wire and a plate electrode on the upstream side of air flow and a dust collecting device on the downstream side thereof and making changeable the voltages applied to the discharge wire from a direct current high voltage source. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge part 1 consisting of a discharge wire 2 and a plate electrode 3 is provided on the upstream side of air flow and a duct collecting device 5 on the downstream side thereof. The voltages applied to the discharge wire 2 from a direct current high voltage source 4 is made changeable, i.e., the selection of the voltages applied to the discharge wire 2 permits the carrying out of either a dust collecting performance alone or a dust collecting and deodorizing performance in a simultaneous operation. Since an ozonizer permits the deodorization by the ozone ejected from the discharge wire, the deodorizing effect will not suffer a change with the passage of time and the deodorizer can be maintained at longer intervals.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To shorten the defrosting time significantly by varying electric power supply to a far infrared heater arranged on the upper surface of a defrosting room with time control thereby defrosting frozen food uniformly at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION: A far infrared heater 16 is disposed above a defrosting room 4 interposed between the freezing room 2 and the refrigerating room 3 in a freezer/refrigerator body 1 and a defrosting motor fan 29 is disposed oppositely to the inlet of the defrosting room 4. A controller 24 comprises means 25 for determining electric power supply to the heater 16, and a heating element driving means 26 for controlling power supply. The controller 24 controls power supply to the heater 16 with time control such that the temperature of a frozen article 19 is raised quickly through quick heating when the temperature thereof is low and then normal heating is performed. Consequently, the frozen article can be defrosted uniformly in a short time.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve controllability by energizing a bottom surface heater when the temperature of a tray where frozen food is placed reaches a specific value, counting time until a specific temperature is reached after starting heating, and determining a defrosting capacity and further heating time. CONSTITUTION: Frozen food 19 to be defrosted is taken out of a freezer chamber 2 and is placed at the center of an aluminum tray 20 in a defrosting chamber 4. Then, a defrosting switch is pressed. Then, when the temperature of the tray 20 being detected by a thermistor 21 decreases to a first set value, a controller 22 energizes a heating heater 18 with half capacity or less, measures time when the temperature of the tray 20 increases to a second setting value from the start of energization by a judging means 23, and judges the defrosting capacity based on the measurement time. Then, heating time is determined by a determination means 24 and the energization time of the heater 18 and a far infrared heater 16 is controlled via an electrical heating element drive means 25. In this manner, an operator can automatically set constantly proper defrosting time to the defrosting capacity without any setting operation, thus improving controllability.
