Abstract: PURPOSE:To lower pressure loss by arranging electret filters in a wavy shape and making the wavelength of the electret filter gradually larger from the supply side. CONSTITUTION:When high voltage is applied to a high voltage discharge cable 2 from a high voltage electric power source 4, a discharge current runs to paired electrode earthing metal electrodes 3 and a discharge region is formed. Together with air, floating particles in air are taken in an air purifying apparatus by a blowing apparatus and particles of large sizes are removed by a prefilter 17. The fine particles 19 passing through the prefilter 17 are charged to become charged particles 19'. When the charged particles 19' come close to an electret filter 6 by guide rolls 10, 11, they are drawn toward negative side of bi-polar polarization and captured. The pressure loss is measured by a pressure sensor 12 and controlled by a controlling means 14.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To know filter replacement timing earlier by installing an electret filter rolling apparatus, an operational hour determining means, and a replacement timing displaying means. CONSTITUTION:An electret filter 6 is placed in a wavy shape by guide rolls 10, 11 so as to have a wide filtering surface area. So that, the passing speed of charged particles 17' through the electret filter 6 becomes low and it takes a long time for the charged particles 17' to pass through the electret filter 6, resulting in improved capturing efficiency. A pressure loss by the electret filter 6 is lowered. Moreover, the renewal timing of the electret filter 6 is controlled by a timer 12 and by the renewal of the filter at every prescribed operational hour T1, the good capturing efficiency is continuously maintained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve dust collecting efficiency by providing an air cleaner with a discharge part, an electret filter arranged in the form of a wave and its take-up device and with a specific means for actuating the take-up device when the number of revolutions of an air suction fan reaches a controlled number. CONSTITUTION:When an operation switch is turned on, positive high voltage is applied to high-tension discharge wire 2 to form an ionization zone. Of all the particles drawn in the air cleaner and suspended in the air, the fine particles 18 which have passed through a prefilter 16, upon passage through the ionization zone, are charged positively into the charged particles 19, which, when approaching an electret filter 6, are attracted to the negative side of this filter 6 for collection, resulting in a gradual increase in the pressure loss of the filter 6 and in an increase in the number of revolutions of an air suction fan 13. This number of revolutions is measured by a revolution indicator 12 and, when it reaches the controlled number, a revolution number judging means 14 actuates a motor 9 to start its operation, whereby, from a supply roll 8, the filter 6 travels through guide rolls 10 and 11 in the form of a wave onto a take-up roll 7 to be wound thereon. When the filter is rolled up on the take-up roll to a predetermined amount, the motor 9 is stopped.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the dust collecting efficiency and to prolong the life of filter by disposing a discharge part consisting of 1st discharge lines and metallic nets in the upstream side of air flow, and eletret filters in the downstream side in wave form, and arranging 2nd discharge lines in farther downstream side. CONSTITUTION:The discharge part 1 provided in the upstream side of air flow consists of the metallic nets 2 disposed in wave form, the 1st high potential discharge lines 3 provided in the recessed parts of the nets, and high potential electric power source 4. The dust collecting part 5 provided in the downstream side of air flow consists of electret filters 6 disposed in wave form, 2nd high potential discharge lines 7 provided in the recessed parts of the filters, and high potential electric power source 8 impressing high potential to the discharge lines. Thus, by reducing the wind velocity passing through the filters 6 to improve the dust collecting efficiency, and by dielectrically polarizing the filter 6 having lost the dielectric force with the 2nd discharge lines to give them dielectric force, the life of the filters is prolonged.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve initial collection efficiency by mounting a charge part on the upstream side while mounting an electret filter on the downstream side and providing parallel electrode plates on the upstream side of the electret filter. CONSTITUTION:High voltage is applied to high voltage discharge wires 2 by a high voltage power supply 4 to form ionizing regions. Coarse particles 11 are removed by a predetermined filter 10 and the fine particles 12 passed through said filter 10 are charged with electrons or ions discharged in the ionizing regions to become charged particles 12'. When the charged particles 12' approach an electret filter 6, said charged particles 12' are attracted to the bipolar polarizers of the electret filter 6 on the negative side thereof by electrostatic force to be collected by said filter 6. When high voltage is applied to the high voltage discharge wires 7 on the upstream side of the electret filter, the charged particles 12'. are further collected by electrostatic force. By this constitution, collection efficiency is enhanced and pressure loss is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture an air purifying device with small pressure loss and of good collecting efficiency by disposing an electret filter on the downstream side of a discharge section by means of guide rolls in the wavy form and rotating the guide rolls synchronized with a motor of a wind-up device. CONSTITUTION:An ionized zone is formed by flowing discharge current from a high voltage discharge line 2 to a polar-resistant set metal polar plate 3 and fine particles 24 passing through a prefilter 22 are charged to (+) when passing through the ionized zone to turn into charged particles 24' and collected to the (-) side of dipole polarizer of an electret filter 6. The pressure loss of air flow passing through the electret filter 6 is measured by a pressure sensor 17 and output to a pressure loss deciding means 18. When the pressure loss becomes the control pressure, a signal is transmitted from the pressure loss deciding means 18 to a motor control means 19 to start a motor 9 and deliver the electret filter 6 from a delivery section 8, transferred in the wavy form through guide rolls 10 and 11 and wound up in the given quantity in a manner that the flow upstream side forming the inside by a wind-up section 7.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To switch over deodorizing function automatically and keep maintenance-free for a long time by providing a dust collection section on the downstream side of air flow and a charged section and an odor sensing means on the upstream side and operating an ozone generating means corresponding to the variation of odor quantity in the air sucked in. CONSTITUTION:A charged section 1 consisting of a discharge line 2 and a flat electrode 3 and an odor sensing means 11 are provided on the upstream side to the air flow and a dust collecting section 5 and an ozone generating means 13 are provided on the downstream side. The result of measuring the odor quantity by the odor sensing means 11 is input into an odor quantity deciding means 12, which is input into a power source device 4 to start deodorizing operation for the ozone generating means 13 when the odor quantity is beyond the given value, and to stop the operation when the quantity is less than the given value. Further, a timer 18 for computing the operation time of the ozone generating means 13 and means 15 and 16 for deciding and indicating the exchange time of ozone decomposing mediums 13 from the time computed by said timer 18. Deterioration of deodorizing effect with time is eliminated by said arrangement and deodorizing function is kept maintenance-free for a long time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the dielectric polarization effect and collection efficiency of an electret filter by integrating a conductive resin net with the electret filter. CONSTITUTION:A charging part 1 consisting of discharge wires 2, parallel plate electrodes 3 and a DC voltage power supply 4 is provided on the upstream side of air flow and an electret filter 6 is arranged on the downstream side of the air flow in a corrugated shape so as to cross an air passage. Discharge wires 7 are provided on the upstream side of the filter 6 and the conductive resin net 8 integrated with the filter 6 is arranged so as to face to the downstream side of the filter 6. Further, voltage is applied to the discharge wires 7 and the resin net 8 is earthed to apply electric fields to the filter 6 by the discharge wires 7 and the resin net 8. As a result, the collection efficiency of dust particles of the filter 6 is enhanced and pressure loss is reduced and the life of the filter 6 is extended and, further, the dielectric polarization effect of the filter 6 is enhanced and collection efficiency is enhanced.

The filter 6 is arranged in a wavy configuration transverse to an air flow passage and the replacement time thereof is controlled by a timer 12. As a result, the pressure loss of filter becomes small with improved dust collecting efficiency and the filter can be replaced at an appropriate time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce variations in air flow by increasing the effective area of an electret filter, reducing the filtration velocity of this filter to thereby reduce the pressure loss thereof and increase the dust collecting efficiency thereof and rolling the filter around a take-up device. CONSTITUTION:An electric discharge part 1 consisting of a discharge wire 2 and a plate electrode 3 is provided on the upstream side of air flow and an electret filter 6 movable by a take-up device 7 is provided on the downstream side thereof. The filter 6 is arranged in a wavy configuration. A pressure loss judging means 13, upon increasing of the pressure loss of the filter 6 above a predetermined pressure loss, makes the take-up device 7 thereof operative and, upon decreasing thereof to a predetermined pressure loss, the take-up device 7 thereof is brought to a stop. As a result, the pressure loss becomes small with improved dust collecting efficiency an reduced variations in the air flow.
