    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the danger due to combustion in defrosting in the environment where the combustible refrigerant leaks in a refrigerator using combustible refrigerant. SOLUTION: A defrosting means 26 composed of a metal pipe 48, a heater wire 37 and an insulating material 49 is disposed below an evaporator 10, a water catch tray 50 with a heating means is provided on the lower part of the defrosting means 26 to heighten the defrosting efficiency, and the surface temperature during defrosting operation of the defrosting means 26 is held below an ignition point of the flammable refrigerant to reduce the possibility of ignition when the flammable refrigerant leaks.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a danger of combustion, generated when a frost removing operation of a frost remover, using a frost removing heater, is carried out under an environment that a flammable coolant is leaked, at the refrigeration cycle using the flammable coolant. SOLUTION: A frost removing heater, having a spiral heater wire in a glass tube, is used as a frost removing means 18, removing the frost deposited on an evaporator 10 of refrigeration cycle using a flammable coolant, and the heat value per unit area, which is the heat value of the spiral heater wire divided by the surface area of the same, is made 2.5 W/cm2 or less, and the heat value, divided by the volume of the area surrounded by the length and outer diameter of the spiral part, is made 8.5 W/cm3, and the pitch of the spiral is made 2 mm or more, thus, the temperature at the frost removing means 18 is reduced so as to become lower than ignition point of the flammable coolant.

SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a compressor 19, a condenser 20, a pressure reducing mechanism 21, and an evaporator 10 to be functionally connected, a refrigerating cycle for sealing a combustible refrigerant, a refrigerant leakage sensing means 16 and an alarming means 17 for alarming a fault by the signal from the means 16. In this case, when the means 16 detects leakage of the refrigerant, the compressor 19 is continuously operated, and hence a temperature rise in the refrigerator is suppressed as much as possible, and the deterioration of the freshness of the stored material is reduced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To defrost an evaporator quickly without leaving frost by stopping a fan for an arbitrary time before starting defrost operation of the evaporator through a defrost means. SOLUTION: During cooling operation, a microcomputer counts the integrated operating time of a compressor 20 using a function thereof, i.e., a timer, and makes a decision whether the integrated operating time of the counter has reached 8 hours. Upon elapsing 8 hours after previous defrost operation, the microcomputer makes a decision whether the inner temperature is lower than a set level. At a moment when the inner temperature drops below the set level, the fan 11 is stopped for an arbitrary time before starting defrost operation of the evaporator 10 thus enhancing defrost efficiency while eliminating frost.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a refrigerating system which reduces the noise of the header for a refrigerating system wherein a refrigerator oil and refrigerant two-phase separate in the header. CONSTITUTION: A compressor, condenser, expanding mechanism, evaporator and header 5 are annularly connected, and a refrigerant and refrigerator oil 7 which does not have or have a small mutual solubility with the refrigerant are provided for a refrigerating cycle. For such a refrigerating cycle, to the header 5, the outlet side of the evaporator is connected to the top, and the header 5 is equipped with a suction piping 6 wherein the suction side of the compressor is inserted from the bottom, and a rising pipe 9 which stands up in the header 5. The rising pipe 9 has an opening 10 of which one end is opened to the bottom of the header 5, and the other end is opened at a level higher than the suction piping 6, for the constitution.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To shorten the time required to freeze by expediting freezing without reducing the efficiency of melting of a heat accumulator for sealing a heat accumulating material in the accumulator by laminating a heat accumulating unit having a cooler in contact with a freezing heat exchanging surface by opposing the protrusions of melting heat exchanging surfaces of the accumulator. CONSTITUTION: The heat accumulator comprise freezing heat exchanging surface 22 filled with latent heat heat accumulating material therein and with a flat one side, and a melting heat exchanging surface 23 of the uneven surface of the rear surface of the surface 22. The accumulator also comprises a damper 25 in which the part of the fluid suction side 24 is extended. The damper 25 is thicker at the surface 22 than the thickness of the surface 23, and bent inside at the surface 23. A heat accumulator unit 17 has opposed protrusions of the surface 23 of a heat accumulator 16, and the surface 22 of the accumulator 16 is brought into contact with the flat surface of the cooler 18. A heat insulation box 20 has a fluid suction inlet 26 and a fluid discharge outlet 27.
