Abstract: Techniques are described herein for selecting network parameters based on feedback in a wireless network. An access point (AP) may collect feedback information from a plurality of stations (STAs), The AP may broadcast out queries seeking information to the STAs. Hie AP may collect statistics about network parameters preferred by the STAs. The AP may select a network parameter based at least m part on collecting the statistics. The AP may collect the statistics without identifying the individual STAs that are responding. The AP may gather responses using a two-message system, where a first message informs the STAs about the feedback being requested and a second message requests that the STAs transmit the feedback to the AP.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for communicating in a wireless network. In one aspect, a first wireless communication device may generate a first frame that includes at least a first aggregated media access control protocol data unit (A-MPDU). The first A-MPDU may include one or more media access control protocol data units (MPDUs). The first wireless communication device may set a first recipient address (RA) field to a first value in a first MPDU, and set a first field in the first MPDU to a second value that represents an identifier of a second wireless communication device. In one aspect, the first wireless communication device may set a second field in the first MPDU to a third value that represents an identifier of a third wireless communication device. The wireless communication device may output the first frame for transmission to at least the second and third wireless communication devices.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for wireless communication are provided. In one configuration, a first device may receive from a second device information indicative of a slot schedule for scheduling communication between the two devices. The slot schedule may allocate slots for the first device to transmit to the second device and for the second device to transmit to the first device. The information may indicate one or more types of message allowed or disallowed to be transmitted in the respective slots. The first device may determine based on the received information a chronologically first slot that is a first slot in time among all the slots allocated to the first device allowed to transmit an acknowledgement message. The first device may receive a first message from the second device. The first device may transmit an acknowledgement message in response to the received first message using the chronologically first slot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may configure one or more trigger frames, which may include a number of random access resource units (RUs). A number of stations (STAs) may contend to use such random access RUs. Regulation techniques for which STAs may contend for access to random access RUs may include providing that separate subsets of random access RUs may be identified for STAs that are associated and unassociated with the AP. In some implementations, the regulation techniques enable STAs to attempt transmissions using the random access RUs when uplink-limited or if the STA has a non-empty buffer, or combinations thereof. Techniques for acknowledging receipt of an uplink transmission may include transmitting an acknowledgment using a same association identification for the acknowledgment as used in the uplink transmission, and including a STA identifier in a signaling field associated with the acknowledgment.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for extending a beacon request mechanism in IEEE 802.11k for spatial reuse (SR). Particularly, in order to facilitate spatial reuse, features of the present disclosure allow an access point (e.g., a high efficiency access point or HE AP) to request information regarding neighboring APs from one or more associated STAs such that the AP may determine whether any of the neighboring APs are part of the same enterprise or spatial reuse group (SRG) as the AP based on the basic service set (BSS) color information provided in beacon reports. As such, the AP may either enable or disable SR for communication based on determination whether the neighboring AP is part of the same enterprise.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may broadcast or multicast a wakeup transmission to wakeup radios (WURs) of a group of wireless and determine to retransmit the first wakeup transmission (e.g., for redundancy). The AP may transmit a second wakeup transmission to the WURs, the second wakeup transmission including an indication that the second wakeup transmission is a retransmission of the first wakeup transmission. The wireless devices may receive the indication that the second wakeup transmission is a retransmission, and may power up a main radio to receive a beacon based on whether or not the previous or originally wakeup transmission was received (e.g., determined via the indication included in the received wakeup message). In some cases, the AP may identify that some wireless devices failed to receive the first wakeup transmission, and may transmit a second wakeup transmission to those identified stations.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing changes to Basic Service Set (BSS) parameters of an access point (AP) in a synchronized manner across multiple physical layer (PHY) formats. In some implementations, an AP may enable STAs that use different PHY formats to implement the changes at substantially the same time. For example, the change in BSS may be aligned with a target beacon transmission time (TBTT) of a first PHY format, and the AP may broadcast information, in a second PHY format, pointing to the TBTT of the first PHY format. In some other implementations, the AP may enable the STAs to implement the changes at different times. For example, STAs using a first PHY format may implement the change at a TBTT of the first PHY format, whereas STAs using a second PHY format may implement the change at a TBTT of the second PHY format.
