Abstract: Generally, the described techniques provide for a base station transmitting an indication of a set of one or more available channels to a user equipment (UE). The base station may transmit to the UE a first downlink burst using a first channel and a first frame period. In some cases, the base station may detect interference associated with the first downlink burst, for example, by performing a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure or through an interference management resources (IMR) procedure in which the base station transmits reference signal signals to the UE that the UE may use to return a report on measured interference. If the base station detects interference, the base station may transmit to the UE an instruction to switch to a second channel and a second frame period, where the second channel may be selected from the set of one or more available channels.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for configuring a user equipment (UE) with a number of uplink transmission configuration states that may be mapped to corresponding uplink transmission parameters. The uplink transmission parameters may be associated with one or more of a directional uplink transmission beam, a set of base stations that are to receive an uplink transmission for joint processing, uplink reference signal transmissions, or combinations thereof. An indication of a first uplink transmission configuration state may be provided to the UE, and the UE may transmit the uplink transmission based at least in part on a first set of uplink transmission parameters that are associated with the first uplink transmission configuration state.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) from a base station, downlink transmissions, and performing, by the UE, a listen before talk (LBT) procedure in an LBT occasion provisioned, by the base station, for the UE immediately prior to an uplink transmission that includes an acknowledgement of a downlink transmission. The method also includes transmitting, by the UE to the base station, the uplink transmission based on results of the LBT procedure. In another aspect, a method of wireless communication includes provisioning, by a base station for all served UEs, an LBT occasion immediately prior to an uplink transmission by the UEs. The uplink transmission includes an acknowledgement of a downlink transmission. The method additionally includes transmitting, by the base station to the UEs, downlink transmissions, and receiving, by the base station, the uplink transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a first downlink control information block over a group physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), wherein the first downlink control information block identifies a plurality of user equipment (UEs) for performing aperiodic channel state information (CSI) measurements and an indication of CSI reference signal resources for a CSI reference signal. The base station may transmit the CSI reference signal on the indicated CSI reference signal resources. The UE may perform, in response to receiving the group PDCCH, an aperiodic CSI measurement of the CSI reference signal on the indicated CSI reference signal resources.

Abstract: Techniques providing opportunistic frequency switching for frame based equipment (FBE), such as may be configured to minimize opportunistic frequency switching delay in FBE new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) networks and/or to provide frequency diversity FBE access based on offset sequences of medium sensing occasions for the carrier frequencies are disclosed. Within the FBE mode network, a base station may configure a pattern of sensing locations in each frame for each frequency transmission unit of the plurality of frequency transmission units, wherein an inter-unit delay of sensing locations between a first frequency transmission unit and a next adjacent frequency transmission unit and between a last frequency transmission unit and the first frequency transmission unit is a fixed duration. Opportunistic frequency switching of embodiments may utilize the medium sensing locations for opportunistically switching between a sequence of the frequency transmission units for implementing frequency diversity FBE access.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described techniques provide for the identification of a sequence of beamforming parameters that are used for communications between a user equipment (UE) and a base station using a sequence of transmission beams. A UE may measure received reference signals that are transmitted in a series of downlink transmission beams from a base station, and report measurement parameters associated with the downlink transmission beams to the base station as part of a beam tracking and beam refinement procedure. The base station may provide transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states that are associated with each transmission beam. The TCI states may be recorded over a course of a periodic movement of the UE, and may be used deterministically to identify beamforming parameters for transmission and reception of a subsequent series of downlink transmission beams when the UE makes a subsequent same periodic movement.
