    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the quantity of the magnetic tape wound to reels to be detected with high accuracy without running the tape by operating and measuring the revolution quantities of the reels. CONSTITUTION:It is detected 20 that the reels 4, 5 wound with a magnetic tape 1 are mounted to respective turntables 8, 9. After the tape 1 put between the reels is spread by letting one of the reels rotate and operate, a specified quantity of the tape is pulled from the other reel with one reel being held fixed. During this pulling- out time, the quantity of revolutions of the other reel 22 is detected and the winding quantity of the tape wound on the reel is operated and measured 28 from the quantity of revolutions. In this case, the circuit 28 obtains the winding quantity of the reel wound on the feed side reel as the residual time of the tape at the recording or reproducing operation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a disk reproducing device which reduces an access time to a CD-ROM medium and reduces an access time while being rewritable. CONSTITUTION:A disk 1 is a CD-ROM or an MO medium. For the MO medium, an address region is provided for every prescribed angular interval and a data region is provided between address regions. In the address region, address data are recorded by prepits. The disk 1 is rotated at a constant angular speed for a recording and a reproducing under the control of a rotary servo circuit 4. During the reproducing of a CD-ROM, a decoding process is performed by a decoder 75. During the reproducing of a CD-MO, a decoder 76 performs the decoding processes. The decoder 75 facilitates the interleave processes over three sectors and the decoder 76 facilitates the interleave processes within one sector. During CD-MO recording, an encoder 12 facilitates the interleave processes within one sector.

CONSTITUTION:The images for display such as the pictures and characters showing the choices of the operation contents of a video equipment are generated in a monitor image for operation generation part 7, these are made to be displayed on a monitor television 5 by a system controller 6, and the specified pictures and characters in the displayed images for display are made to be designated by the pointer in the images by the operation of a trackball. Subsequently, the images for display of the pictures and characters showing the choices of the operation content succeeding to the operation contents shown by the designated pictures and characters are made to be successively displayed on the monitor television 5 and the video equipment is operated by the system controller 6 according to the operation contents shown by each picture and character designated by the pointer in the display screen.

CONSTITUTION:An object 1 is made to have an ID card 2, the signal transmitted from this ID card 2 is received by the signal reception part 5 of a video camera 4, and the direction and distance of the object 1 are detected by the CPU within the video camera 4 based on the received signal. According to the result, a universal head 6 is driven and controlled so that the video camera 4 may direct to the object 1, the focus distance of a focus lens is set so that the object 1 may be focused on and the photographing magnification of a zoom lens is set to a proper magnification according to the distance of the object 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an optical disk capable of being constituted at a low cost with excellent yield and improving an S/N of a regenerative signal and achieving servo with high precision and an optical disk reproducing device capable of being constituted at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:On the optical disk 2, the whole of servo signals and data are recorded by a pit when the disk is a ROM medium, and the whole are magneto- optically recorded when the disk is a RAM medium on the contrary. A signal is obtd. from an adder 12 through an optical head 11 according to the light quantity of a refelcted light from the optical disk 2, and the signal according to the rotation of the polarizing surface of the reflected light from the optical disk 21 is obtd. from a subtracter 21. When the optical disk 2 is the ROM medium and the RAM medium, a switch 31 is connected to (a) side and (b) side, and the detection of a servo error, the reproduction of a clock signal and the detection of the data, etc., are performed by the output signals of the adder 12 and the subtracter 21 respectively. The data detection circuit 19 is used in common regardless of that the optical disk 2 is the ROM medium or the RAM medium.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To agree a cartridge surface with a recording tape surface as well as a floppy disk cassette and to execute the recording and reproducing with the recording reproducing device of a floppy disk by providing a guide mechanism to incline a tape surface by 90 deg. at the tape travelling path of a head driving type cassette tape. CONSTITUTION:At the position corresponding to the rotation center of the floppy disk of a half 9 at the lower side of a tape cartridge 10, a center core 1 is rotatably fitted and a shaft hole 1A in which the shaft of a spindle motor rushes into the center of the core 1 and a driving hole 1B in which the driving pin of the chucking table of the motor rushes are provided. Between the core 1 and a pulley 3, a timing belt 2 is spread, and between the pulley 3 and reels 6a and 6b, a magnetic tape 7 is spread. In the travelling path of the tape 7, the mechanism to incline, by 90 deg., the surface of the tape 7 by guide pins 8a1 and 8a2 and inclining guides 8b1 and 8b2 is provided. The tape surface and the core 1 are coincident with a floppy disk and the recording and reproducing are executed by the recording and reproducing device of the floppy disk.
