Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent duplicate feeding of paper sheets by bending a paper carrying passage in the vicinity of a separating roller relative to the rotational axis direction of a paper feeding belt in a paper feeding device employing the separating roller of a printer or the like. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding device 11 is provided with a paper carrying passage 12 where paper sheets are carried, a paper feeding belt 14 to feed the paper sheets in the paper sheet feeding direction, a separating roller 15 which is placed opposite to this paper feeding belt 14 so as to hold the paper carrying passage 12 and separates the paper sheet under carriage piecewise. A pair of an upper and a lower bent parts 12c, 12c and 12d, 12d of approximately semi-conical shape which protrude upward relative to the direction of the rotational axis of the rotary shaft 14d of the roller 14 of the paper sheet feeding belt 14 are integratedly formed respectively in the vicinity of the separating roller 15 on the respective sides of a pair of an upper and a lower paper sheet carrying guide plates 12a, 12b constituting the paper carrying passage 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize optimized operation of each block while preventing poor printing.
SOLUTION: This printer can be vertically installed so that a printing sheet 3000 is carried in the state of its sheet face being directed in horizontal. The printing sheet in the state of its sheet face being directed in horizontal is carried from a sheet storage block 100 to a sheet discharge block 800. The sheet storage block has a sheet receiving plate 5 for receiving one sheet face of the printing sheet stored therein in the state that the printer is vertically installed and a pressing means 7 opposed to the sheet receiving plate and adapted to be moved close to or apart from the sheet receiving plate depending on the thickness of the printing sheet stored therein for pressing the other face on the opposite side to one face of the printing sheet.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To identify information regarding a large number of ink ribbons recorded in an ink ribbon cassette in a small occupying space with a small number of mark detecting sensors. CONSTITUTION:When an ink ribbon cassette 9 is mounted to a printer, the ink ribbon cassette is moved along guide members 8. A reference mark row and a identification mark row displaying ink ribbon information are formed to the case 4 of the ink ribbon cassette 9 along the direction of the movement of the ink ribbon cassette. On the other hand, sensors 7a, 7b are arranged at positions, where the ink ribbon cassette is passed, on the printer side, and the marks of the reference mark row and the identification mark row are detected in a time series manner by utilizing shifting at the time of the mounting of the ink ribbon cassette. Accordingly, the identification marks are identified while using the reference marks detected as the reference of time series, thus identification information regarding a large number of ink ribbons by the two sensors 7a, 7b for the marks for the reference mark row and the identification mark row.
