    Abstract: PURPOSE:To effect printing at a high speed without a high-speed driving of an image-formation lens by a method wherein an image-formation plate is made into the form of a curved surface conforming with the side face of a circular cylinder produced with its center at the axis extending through the scan center of a scan laser beam and intersecting perpendicularly the optical path of the scan laser beam. CONSTITUTION:Although a laser beam is imaged by an image-formation lens 5 focused on an ink ribon 13 on an image-formation plate 10, it is necessary for the image-formation plate 10 to be made into the form of a curved surface extending along the side face of a circular cylinder produced with its center at the rotating axis O of a galvanomirror 6. For this reason, once the image- formation lens 5 has been focused, the laser beam is always in focus on the ink ribbon 13 on the image-formation plate 10. Therefore, since the image- formation plate 10 is made into the form of the curved surface extending along the side face of the circular cylinder produced with its center at the rotating axis 0 of the mirror 6, an accurate printing is possible, there is no need for a driving device to keep the image-formation lens 5 always in focus as in the conventional way and a high-speed printing can be easily effected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a printer including an optical system which efficiently forms the image of a laser beam on a recording medium by condensing the luminous flux of laser light by a first optical system which changes the power or a high output laser oscillator to output the laser light. CONSTITUTION:In this printer device, laser light modulated based on printing data is thrown to the surface of a sheet member containing a sublimable dye and the sublimable dye sublimated by photothermic conversion on the sheet member is transferred to image reception paper. Images of laser light of a high output laser oscillator 31 which is emitted at angles different by vertical and horizontal directions are formed by first optical systems 32 to 34 which have powers different by vertical and horizontal directions, and this laser light is condensed on an incidence port 35A of an optical fiber 35. Thus, the laser light is optimized in accordance with the incidence angle condition and the core diameter of the optical fiber 35. As the result, the image of the beam of the high output laser oscillator 31 is efficiently formed on the sheet member containing the sublimable dye, and the print speed is more increased.

Further, a2 is the distance from the 1st lens 12 to the multi-beam light source 11, al is the distance from the 1st lens 12 to an image point, and the is the permissible error of the spot diameter of the laser beam on the irradiated surface.

On the other hand, a stylus electrode at a part where the stylus electrode A2LR is excepted from the stylus electrode A2L and a control electrode part C3a which occupies a comparatively small area in the control electrode C3 discharge. Accordingly, a difference of a quantity of electric charge to be accumulated in recording parts respectively facing stylus electrodes A2L' and A2R' becomes small to a degree that can be neglected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the number of driving circuits for a multi-stylus electrode by dividing the multi-stylus electrode into plural groups and applying a bias potential only to the parts of a recording medium opposed to the respective division groups. CONSTITUTION:Since one line on the recording medium 13 is divided into 38 groups B1-B38, image data which should be written in the B1 is put from the D1 to the D38 of a data bus at first and at the same time the bias voltage of the S1 of a power supply circuit 15 is made on. Thus, the image can be recorded on the part corresponding to the B1 of the recording medium 13. By putting the image data for the B2 on the data bus and making the bias voltage of the S2 on, the image can be recorded on the B2. By performing recording to the B38 in the same way, horizontal one line of images can be formed. Since it is necessary to provide the data bus 22(D1-D38) and the feeder circuit 15(S1-S38) for the driving circuit, 38+38=76 circuits are needed in total. Then, the number of the driving circuits can be drastically reduced as compared with 1,444 circuits in the case that they are independently attached to the respective multi-stylus electrodes one by one.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To save the number of photodetectors in one at minimum, the number of which have been requested for the number of resolution in a line direction, and to lower cost, by condensing reflected light from a document once through the use of a fluorescent condensing plate, and introducing it to the photodetector. CONSTITUTION:A LED array 2 is provided on the rear plane side of a flat substrate 6, and light from each LED in the LED array 2 is projected on the paper plane 1 of the document through a selfoc lens array 3. When incident light on plate planes of the fluorescent condensing plates 4 and 4' are abutted with fluorescent bodies, the bodies emit the light, and reflection is repeated, and the light is condensed on an end face intersecting orthogonally with the plate plane. The lengthy directions of the fluorescent condensing plates 4 and 4' are arranged so as to be along with the arranging direction of the LED array 2, and are formed in shapes being bent so as to cover the line-shaped part of the paper plane 1. Photodiodes 5 and 5' that are the photodetectors, are mounted so as to receive the light from one end faces 4a and 4a' (4a' and 5' are not shown in figure, because they are hidden) of the fluorescent condensing plates 4 and 4', and the same number of the photodiodes as those of LEDs are not necessary to be provided, and only one photodetector is required at minimum.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink, diluted solution and mixed solution from adhering to the peripheries of nozzles over wide and defective printing from developing by a method wherein a projecting part is formed in the peripheral regions of the opening part of a first nozzle on the nozzle opening surface of a print head and of the opening part of its second nozzle. SOLUTION: A projecting part 53 is formed on one main surface 38a, which is the printing surface and nozzle opening surface of the orifice plate 38 of a print head 3. The projecting part 53 has a planar shape consisting of a circular part for surrounding the opening part of a first nozzle 34, a circular part for surrounding the opening part of a second nozzle 36 and a connecting part, with which both the circular parts are connected. Further, the first and the second nozzles 34 and 36 are opened on the one main surface 53a, which is the top surface of the projecting part 53. Accordingly, when ink is oozed out of the second nozzle 36 for printing, the ink is hard to hurdle the peripheral edge of the projecting part 53 due to the surface tension of the ink and run along the projecting part 53.
