Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical information recording medium having a recording layer whereupon information of a large quantity can be recorded by a simple system. SOLUTION: Two light transmitting substrates whereupon a first photosensitive polymer and a second photosensitive polymer are developed, respectively, are bonded to each other on the photosensitive polymer layers to form one recording layer. Since the recording layer has a larger optical absorptance as the optical focal point for information recording moves deeper in the depth direction, information can be recorded without reducing information record transfer rate. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new rewritable optical recording medium having a recording layer comprising an organic dye film and capable of reversibly recording/ erasing information by laser beam radiation. SOLUTION: The new rewritable optical information recording medium having as a recording film at least one layer of organic dye film comprising practically at least one kind of organic dye compound. Information is recorded and erased by reversible physical changes caused by laser beam irradiation on an organic dye film single element. Specifically, data are recorded by a local physical change by recording laser ray irradiation, data are reproduced by detecting the returned optical intensity change of a reproducing laser beam less powerful than a recording laser beam, and data are erased by at least one application of a continuous beam or a pulse beam more powerful than a recording laser beam and less powerful than the recording laser beam. A physical change involves a shape change. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recording characteristics of an optical recording medium for forming a hole mark on a bulk recording layer.SOLUTION: A recording layer is formed by an organic material (thermoplastic resin and thermosetting resin) having an oxygen element ratio of 9.1% or more. For example, the material is polyethersulfone, polyimide, polyethylene and the like. Alternatively, a recording layer is formed by a material obtained by adding a low-molecular-weight compound into a resin in which the oxygen element ratio after mixing is 9.1% or more.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording method and an optical information recording medium that can improve a recording rate, and an information reproducing device, an optical information reproducing method and an optical information recording and reproducing device that can improve reproducing characteristics of the optical information recording medium. SOLUTION: A recording mark which is formed with a void is formed by evaporating two-photon absorption material by two-photon absorption reaction, which is one aspect of photoreaction with respect to a recording light beam as a recording light collected upon recording of information. Further, a recording layer reproduces the information based on a return light beam which is formed by modulating a read light beam which is radiated as a predetermined read light upon reproduction of the information according to the presence of the recording mark. The recording layer is formed by distributing two-photon absorption particles where the two-photon absorption material is disposed in metal fine particles MN, to a binder resin which forms the recording layer, thereby the two-photon absorption material having two-photon absorption characteristics as vaporizing material is arranged near the metal fine particles MN which are distributed in the binder resin. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve record reproducing characteristics and durability in a write-once type recording medium. SOLUTION: This write-once type recording medium is produced by forming an inorganic recording film 3 on a base. The inorganic recording film 3 is formed by adjoining a recording film 32 mainly made of Ge and a recording film 31 mainly made of Ag. The excellent record reproducing characteristics and the improvement of durability can be obtained by setting the thickness of the recording film mainly made of Ag to be 4-7 nm.
