Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the storage stability and prevent foaming in mixing with water by dispersing a polyisocyanate blocked with an active hydrogen compd. in an aq. medium contg. three specific compds. CONSTITUTION:0.2-10wt.% compd. of formula I (wherein (x) is 10-60; (y) is 0-60; and (n) is 1-3) [e.g. di(polyoxyethylene-polyoxyproplene-tristyrylphenyl) methane], 0.01-10wt.% compd. of formula II (wherein (m) and (n) are each 0-30) (e.g. 2,4,7,9-tetramethyl-5-decyne-4,7-diol), and 0.1-3.0wt.% partially hydrolyzed ammonium salt of poly(alkyl acrylate) are dissolved in an aq. medium. In the obtd. aq. medium contg. three compds., is dispersed 10-50wt.% polyisocyanate blocked with an active hydrogen compd. and having a mean particle diameter of 10mum or lower.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber material for reinforcing a rubber causing little foaming in the step of nipping after incorporating a treating liq. and having little ununiformity of an adherent adhesive by treating the fiber material with a specified first treating liq. and heat-treating it and then, treating it with a specified second treating liq. and heat-treating it. CONSTITUTION:A fiber material (e.g. poly-p-phenyleneterephthalamide) is treated with the first treating liq. prepd. by mixing 0.02-1.5wt.% reaction product of a compd. (A) of the formula (wherein x is an integer of 10-60; y is 0-5; n is 1-3) with an isocyanate compd. contg. one or more active isocyanate groups in the molecule, 1.0-6.0wt.% blocked polyisocyanate compd. (B), 0.5-5wt.% polyepoxide compd. (C) and 2-10wt.% mixture (D) of a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin and a rubber latex at an application ratio of 0.3-10% and heat-treated. Then, the fiber material is treated with the second treating liq. prepd. by mixing 1.0-6.0wt.% component B and 3-20wt.% component D at an application ratio of 0.1-10% and heat-treated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber material uniformly coated with an adhesive, having high adhesivity to rubber and exhibiting excellent fatigue resistance to repeated flexing in rubber by treating a fiber material with a 1st and a 2nd treating liquids containing a specific adhesive compound and heat-treating the treated material. CONSTITUTION:A fiber material for rubber-reinforcement is produced by treating a fiber material (e.g., cord) made of a polyester, aromatic polyamide, etc., with a 1st treating liquid containing (A) a compound of formula (x is 10-60; y is 0-60; n is 1-3), (B) a blocked polyisocyanate, (C) a polyepoxide compound, (D) RFL and (E) partially hydrolyzed ammonium salt of polyacrylic acid alkyl ester, heat-treating the fiber, applying a 2nd treating liquid containing the components B, C and D to the fiber and heat-treating the product. A rubber- reinforcing fiber having suppressed foaming tendency in nipping process, containing uniformly applied adhesive and exhibiting high adhesivity to rubber can be produced by the use of the above adhesive.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject material having excellent thermal adhesion resistance and fatigue resistance by providing an undrawn yarn with a treating solution containing a spinning oil agent, drawing the yarn, providing the yarn with a preliminarily treating solution containing a specific compound, aging the yarn and adding an adhesive of RFL containing a specified compound to the yarn. CONSTITUTION: An undrawn yarn after melt spinning is provided with a treating solution containing a spinning oil agent comprising a smoothing agent as a main component and one kind selected from (A) a triazine compound such as (iso)cyanuric acid, etc., (B) a monoaminodicarboxylic acid compound (e.g. L-glutamic acid, etc.), and (C) a compound of the formula (R is a 2-10C alkyl, an alicyclic alkyl or a polyoxyalkyl having >=300 molecular weight; n is 2-3), drawn and heat-set to give a drawn yarn, which is provided with a preliminarily treating solution containing a polyepoxide compound and one kind of the compounds A to C to give a polyester fiber yarn or the yarn is twisted to give a cord. The yarn or the cord is aged at 30-80 deg.C for >=8 hours, provided with an adhesive solution containing a blocked polyisocyanate and/or an ethyleneimine compound and RFL and heat-treated.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To remarkably inhibit the deterioration of a polyester fiber, when a rubber is vulcanized or when the fiber is exposed to high temperatures for a long time in the rubber, by imparting a clathrate compound to the polyester fiber for reinforcing the rubber. CONSTITUTION: Schardinger dextrin such as α-cyclodextrin or a crown ether such as dibenzo-12-crown ether-4 as a clathrate compound is imparted in an amount of 0.l-50 wt.% to a polyester fiber for reinforcing a rubber, when the polyester fiber is spun or drawn, especially preferably to a twisted cord or a woven fabric. The impartment of the clathrate compound enables the remarkable inhibition in the deterioration of the fiber on the vulcanization of the rubber, especially the exhibition of the effect on the vulcanized rubber using a vulcanization accelerator.

CONSTITUTION:To import a bondability with rubber to polyester fiber, a liquid mixture of rubber latex and a reaction mixture obtained by condensing a resorcinol/formaldehyde precondensate with a compound of the formula (wherein X is Cl or Br, Y and Z are each H, OH, Cl, Br or 1-4C alkyl, n=1-3), e.g., 2,6- bis(2',4'-dihydroxyphenylmethyl)-4-chlorophenol) is used as a first-step treating liquid and an aqueous dispersion of a blocked isocyanate (e.g., phenol-blocked triphenylmethane triisocyanate) is used as a second-step treating liquid to carry out a bonding treatment.
