    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive planographic printing plate having high ink repellency without carrying out desensitization, having a wide control latitude of dampening water and capable of making dampening water free from isopropanol. SOLUTION: In a photosensitive planographic printing plate with at least a hydrophilic swellable layer and a diazo resin-contg. photosensitive layer in this order on the substrate, colloidal fine particles are further incorporated into the photosensitive layer. Colloidal fine particles of 0.001-0.1 μm average primary diameter provided with hydrophilic property by surface treatment are preferably used as the fine colloidal particles.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a planographic printing plate having high ink repellency, ensuring a wide acceptable range of dampening water and capable of making dampening water free from isopropanol by containing fine particles having pores of a specified diameter into a hydrophilic swellable layer as an ink repellent layer. SOLUTION: The planographic printing plate has a hydrophilic swellable layer an ink repellent layer on the substrate and the hydrophilic swellable layer contains fine particles having pares of >=3 Ådiameter. The fine particles are preferably fine zeolite particles. The pref. pore diameter of the fine particles is 3-500 Å, in particular 5-50 Å. It is preferable that the zeolite has a lower ratio of silica to alumina and a higher hydrophilic property. The pref. amt. of the fine particles in the hydrophilic swellable layer is 2-75 wt.%, more preferably 5-50 wt.%.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain moistening water for a lithographic printing plate to improve the drying property of ink and preservability of a printing part by incorporating an anionic interfacial active agent having at least a hydrophilic group being sulfuric ester salt and/or phosphoric ester salt. SOLUTION: Moistening water for a lithographic printing plate is provided with at least a hydrophilic swelling layer on the base plate, and the hydrophilic group includes an anionic interfacial active agent being sulfate ester salt and/or phosphoric acid ester salt. The pH is 6-11. Herein, it contains an anionic surfactant indicated by formula. R shows an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, n+m=0-30, in a branched or straight-chained structure having 3-60C, and X represents sulfate and phosphate. By addition of the surfactant moistening water spreads over non-printing areas upon executing moistening water to the lithographic printing plate.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithographic printing plate original plate having a wide controlling width of dampening water with high ink repellence without desensitizing by providing a top layer whose peeling film senses laser so as to adhere to an under layer of the peeling film and form an ink receiving layer. SOLUTION: In a platemaking step, the laser sensitive lithographic printing plate original plate for forming digital image information by using laser comprises a hydrophilic swelling layer forming layer formed on a base plate. Its uppermost layer is formed as a release film, which is provided to form an ink receptive layer by adhering to a lower layer of the film by sensing a laser. The film is a film having a polymer layer. As polymer for constituting the film, gelatin, or cellulose is, for example, used. A film obtained from aqueous emulsion is preferably used. The film preferably contains laser ray absorbent such as dye, pigment or metal for absorbing near infrared ray or infrared ray.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a printing master plate easily developable and to realize a dampening water free from isopropanol (IPA), by incorporating a compd. which produces an amine by irradiation with light into a latent hydrophilic swelling layer and/or into a photosensitive layer formed on the latent hydrophilic swelling layer. SOLUTION: This photosensitive lithographic printing plate has at least the latent hydrophilic swelling layer on a base body, and the latent hydrophilic swelling layer and/or the photosensitive layer formed on the latent hydrophilic swelling layer contain a compd. which produces amines by irradiation with light. When the layer is irradiated with light, various kinds of amines are produced. These amines produce isolated acid or salt such as carboxylic acid to selectively give ink repelling property of the exposed part. As for the compd. which produces amines by irradiation of light, a compd. having an acyloxyimino group such as O-acryloylacetophenone oxime can be used.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a planographic printing plate material controlling dampening water over an extended range, capable of making dampening water free from isopropanol and unnecessitating desensitization through simple producing processes by laminating a hydrophilic swellable layer and a photosensitive layer contg. a compd. generating an acid when irradiated with light on a substrate. SOLUTION: At least a hydrophilic swellable layer and a photosensitive layer contg. at least a compd. generating an acid when irradiated with light are successively laminated on a substrate. It is preferable that the photosensitive layer further contains a compd. varying solubility to a solvent by the action of the acid. The acid generating compd. is one or more kinds of photo-acid generating agents such as an onium salt compd., a halogen-contg. compd., a sulfone compd. and a sulfonate compd. The pref. amt. of the photo-acid generating agents in the photosensitive layer is 0.1-30wt.%, especially 0.3-15wt.%.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability for manufacturing an original plate for a printing plate and enable ink repellency equal to or higher than a PS lithographic plate to be displayed by generating the destructive absorption by a swelling layer through sensing of active light provided by a laser emission, in an original plate for a lithographic plate with a laser-sensitive hydrophilic swelling layer. SOLUTION: The master for a lithographic plate with a laser-sensitive hydrophilic swelling layer formed on a base has such a function that the hydrophilic swelling layer displays its destructive absorption through sensing of active light provided by a laser emission. Black pigment or black dye is in the ratio of 3-70wt.%, preferably, 5-50wt.% for the entire hydrophilic swelling layer in terms of solid base. If the ratio of the black substance exceeds 70wt.%, the ink repellency of the hydrophilic swelling layer is significantly deteriorated. However, if the ratio of the black substance is not more than 3wt.%, the sensitivity of the hydrophilic swelling layer to the laser emission is insufficient so that the ratio is not appropriate. The preferable coat thickness of the laser- sensitive hydrophilic swelling layer is 0.1-20g/m .

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart high ink repellency without carrying out desensitization and to enable the use of pure water as dampening water by incorporating a diazonium compd. into a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: This original plate with at least a photosensitive hydrophilic swellable layer on the substrate contains a diazonium compd. as a photosensitive component in the swellable layer and/or a photosensitive layer formed on the swellable layer. The diazonium compd. is preferable soluble in water. The amt. of water absorbed in a non-printing area made of the swellable layer is preferably 1-50g/m and the rate of swelling of the swellable layer of the non-printing area with water is preferably 10-2,000%. The swellable layer preferably has a phase separated structure consisting of at least a hydrophilic polymer-base phase and a hydrophobic polymer-base phase. Diazo resin typified by a condensation product of an arom. diazonium salt and an active carbonyl compd. is especially useful as the diazonium compd.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart plate inspectability without using a processing soln. contg. a dye, a pigment, etc., by incorporating a leuco dye and an acidic substance. SOLUTION: This original plate with at least a photosensitive hydrophilic swellable layer on the substrate contains a leuco dye and an acidic substance. The leuco dye is a colorless or light-colored substance forming dark color by contact with an electron accepting substance such as bisphenol A and the leuco body of triphenylmethane is, e.g. used. The amt. of the leuco dye is 0.1-50wt.%, preferably 0.1-30wt.% of that of the swellable layer. The acidic substance is solid at room temp., can react as a coupler at the time of heating and is, e.g. catechol or resorcinol. The amt. of the acidic substance is 2-10 times, preferably 4-6 times that of the leuco dye.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the controllable range of a dampening water for a photosensitive planographic printing master plate having a photosensitive hydrophilic swellable layer on a substrate and to make the dampening water free from isopropanol(IPA) by incorporating an ethylenically unsatd. compd. having basic groups into the hydrophilic swellable layer. SOLUTION: The hydrophilic swellable layer is photosensitive and contains an ethylene type unsatd. compd. having basic groups as a photosensitive compd. The ethylenically unsatd. compd. having basic groups consists of photopolymerizable monomers or oligomers having primary to quaternary amino groups, pyridine rings, piperidine rings, quaternary salts, etc. As for the ethylenically unsatd. compd., a vinyl monomer having at least one vinyl groups can be used. For example, dimethylamino methyl (meth)acrylate can be used. The ethylenically unsatd. compd. having basic groups is added to the compsn. for the hydrophilic swellable layer when the layer is formed, so that the ethylenically unsatd. compd. is present in the layer.
