    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive paste capable of making a pattern processing of high aspect ratio and high minuteness and good in binder removability after backed in high sensitivity by including inorganic microparticles and a photosensitive organic component incorporated with a specific cellulose derivative. SOLUTION: This photosensitive paste is obtained by incorporating (D) inorganic microparticles (e.g. glass powder) in a photosensitive organic component prepared by including (A) a cellulose derivative having ethylenically unsaturated group (e.g. vinyl group) and carboxyl group, (B) an ethylenically unsaturated compound (e.g. trimethylolpropane triacrylate) and (C) a photopolymerization initiator (e.g. diethyoxyacetophenone), followed by conducting a kneading; wherein the component A is a polymer with a weight-average molecular weight of pref. 20,000-150,000 and resin acid value of pref. 20-150 mgKOH/g which is prepared by imparting cellulose with carboxyl groups using an acid anhydride followed by reaction of an ethylenically unsaturated compound.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject photo-sensitive paste that can attain pattern processing of high aspect ratio and high definition in low costs and is useful in the plasma display or the like by admixing a specific photo-sensitive polymer to a photo-sensitive organic component. SOLUTION: This paste comprises (A) inorganic fine particles and (B) photo- sensitive organic components in which the component B includes a photo-sensitive polymer prepared by ring-opening polyaddition reaction of (i) an unsaturated group-bearing alicyclic epoxy compound to (ii) a carboxyl group-bearing copolymer. In a preferred embodiment, the component B is a compound of the formula (R is H or methyl), the component (i) is a copolymer of (meth)acrylate ester(s) and (meth)acrylic acid(s) and the weight ratio of the component A to the component B is (5-50 wt.%)/(95-50 wt.%). The component (A) has the glass transition point of 430-500 deg.C and the softening point of 470-580 deg.C and includes a glass powder containing lithium oxide with the average particle size of 2-3.5 μm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a positive linear lithographic printing original plate without the necessity of complicated steps after a laser beam is illuminated by incorporating a photothermal conversion substance and a metal chelate compound in a thermosensitive layer. SOLUTION: At least a photothermal conversion substance and a metal chelate compound are contained in a thermosensitive layer. According to this constitution, at the time of illuminating a laser beam, a heat is generated by an operation of the substance in the layer to thereby react the chelate compound with an active hydroxyl group-containing compound. As a result, an adhesive force of a hydrophilic swelling layer to the thermosensitive layer is improved in a laser beam illuminated part. Meanwhile, since such an adhesive forced is not improved in an unilluminated part, the swelling layer or the swelling layer and the thermosenstive layer can be removed by its following developing. Thus, a positive linear lithographic printing plate can be obtained merely by developing after the laser is illuminated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithographic printing plate high in ink repellence without applying any lipophilicness restraining treatment and enlarged in a control width of wetting water and capable of using no isopropanol for the wetting water by incorporating fine fluororesin particles into a hydrophilic swellable layer. SOLUTION: This lithographic printing plate is provided on a base plate with the hydrophilic swellable layer containing the fine fluororesin particles of 0.1-10 μm, preferably, in an amount of 2-50 weight % of the layer. A nonimage part composed of the hydrophilic swellable layer has a water absorbing amount of 1-50 g/m and a water swelling rate of 10-2000%. The fine fluororesin particles to be used here may be amorphous, fibrous, spherical, and the like, but it is preferred that they are fine spherical forms from the view point of dispersibility into the main component of the hydrophilic swellable layer.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a planographic printing plate having printing resistance and high ink repellency, ensuring a wide acceptable range of dampening water and capable of making dampening water free from isopropanol by containing fine silicone particles into a hydrophilic swellable layer as an ink repellent layer. SOLUTION: The planographic printing plate has a hydrophilic swellable layer an ink repellent layer on the substrate and the hydrophilic swellable layer contains fine silicone particles. The fine silicone particles are preferably fine particles of an elastic body of silicone rubber. The pref. particle diameter of the fine particles is 0.1-10 μm, in particular 0.1-5 μm. The pref. amt. of the fine particles in the hydrophilic swellable layer is 2-50 wt.%, in particular 5-30 wt.%. The silicone rubber preferably has functional groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform lithographic printing having excellent ink repellency and high printing durability by introducing specific fine particles to a hydrophilic expansion layer on a base plate. SOLUTION: Surface hydrophilized fine particles are contained in a hydrophilic swelling layer formed on a base plate. As the particles, inorganic or organic fine particles are used. 5 to 60 pts.wt. of the particles having a mean primary particle size of 0.005 to 5 μm are preferably contained in 100 pts.wt. of solid content of the swelling layer. And, it is also preferable to contain both the organic particles having the mean primary particle size of 0.007 to 0.1 μm and the inorganic particles having the mean primary particle size of 0.1 to 1 μm. Thus, more excellent ink repellency and wider dampening water allowing range are not only obtained, but also inking properties of printing elements become higher, and wet, adhesive of interface between water swelled part and the particles is upgraded to improve printing durability.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithographic printing plate original plate having a wide controlling width of dampening water with high ink repellence without desensitizing by providing a hydrophilic swelling layer forming layer to be solvent insoluble upon sensing of laser as an ink repellent layer. SOLUTION: In a platemaking step, the laser sensitive lithographic printing plate original plate for forming digital image information by using laser comprises an ink receptive layer and hydrophilic swelling layer forming layer formed on a base plate. In this case, the layer is solvent insolubilized by sensing the laser, and adhered to a lower layer of the forming layer. The used swelling layer contains hydrophilic polymer as a component, and the forming layer preferably contains copolymer of vinyl acetate and acrylic ester and/or its saponified material. Laser ray absorbent such as dye, pigment or metal is contained in both of arbitrary one or two or more.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve print wear, printing-out properties in makeup process and plate check feasibility by adding white pigment at least, to one of printing plate-constituent layers in lithographic plate with a hydrophilic swelling layer formed on a base plate. SOLUTION: This photosensitive lithographic plate has characteristics such as simple development treatment, high ink repellency without the necessity of treatment for desensitization, a wide range of control of wetting water and the adaptability of pure water as wetting water. In addition, this lithographic plate is composed, at least, of a base plate a primer layer and a hydrophilic swelling layer formed sequentially, and contains white pigment in the primer layer adjacent to the hydrophilic swelling layer, or contains white pigment in the base plate adjacent to the hydrophilic swelling layer. In this case, the moisture absorbing amount of a nonimage linear part consisting of the hydrophilic swelling layer is set to 1-50g/m and the water swelling coefficient is set to the range of 10-2000%. Further, the hydrophilic swelling layer is subjected to three-dimensional crosslinking reaction by the reactive functional group of hydrophilic polymer. In addition, the hydrophilic swelling layer is formed in a laminar process on the base plate by making it insoluble in water.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have high ink repellency and to improve the durability of a printing plate by a method in which after an electrostatic latent image is formed on a lithographic printing plate having a hydrophilic swelling layer on a substrate, an ink sticking layer is formed by making the swelling layer an image receiving layer. SOLUTION: In a lithographic printing plate, after a hydrophilic swelling layer being formed on a substrate, uniform static charge is distributed on the whole surface of a photoconductive insulating layer or photoconductive layer and the swelling layer, a light image formed by light in the spectral sensitivity range of the insulating layer is exposed to the charged surface of a printing plate to form an electrostatic latent image. Liquid dispersion type charged colored fine particles or powdery charged colored fine particles are attracted electrostatically to the latent image on the plate surface to obtain an ink sticking layer, and the ink sticking layer is formed on the swelling layer which is an image receiving layer by a fixing method such as an open fixing method. A non-printing element part having the swelling layer on the plate surface swells by dampening water to repel ink, while a printing element part formed by electrostatic transfer receives ink, and the ink is supplied to the surface of a printed body to form a printed image.
