    Abstract: Es wird ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines selbstfahrenden Reinigungsgeräts vorgeschlagen, wobei das Reinigungsgerät einen Reinigungsmodus aufweist, in dem es sich autonom bewegt, wobei das Reinigungsgerät einen Demonstrationsmodus aufweist und wahlweise in dem Demonstrationsmodus oder in dem Reinigungsmodus betreibbar ist, wobei sich das Reinigungsgerät im Demonstrationsmodus gemäß einer Vorgabe verhält.
    Gemäß einem ersten Aspekt ist in der Vorgabe eine zu erledigende Aufgabe festgelegt, wobei das Reinigungsgerät nach Erledigung der Aufgabe den Demonstrationsmodus automatisch beendet und zur Beendigung wieder in seine Ausgangsposition und Ausgangsausrichtung zu Beginn des Demonstrationsmodus zurückkehrt.
    Gemäß einem weiteren Aspekt ist in der Vorgabe ein von dem Reinigungsgerät abzufahrender gerader Weg festgelegt.
    Ferner wird ein zum Durchführen des Verfahrens ausgebildetes Reinigungsgerät vorgeschlagen.
