Abstract: Provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure are an electron emission apparatus and an electronic apparatus. The electron emission apparatus comprises a fire-resistant container and a heating power source, wherein an electron emission material is provided in a cavity part; and an electron extraction electrode plate is provided beneath the fire-resistant container. The embodiments of the present disclosure have a relatively high field emission effect of electrons, and high consistency of electron-beam currents in different emission arrays; by using a liquid and a cavity to prepare a liquid needle tip, the selection range of an electron emission material can be expanded, and under the action of an electron extraction electric field, the structure of a liquid needle tip having a smaller radius is further drawn, thereby enhancing a field emission effect of the electrons, and greatly improving the efficiencies of an electron microscope and electron-beam exposure machine; and the service life of an electron emission structure is directly proportional to the mass of the accommodated electron emission material, such that the service life of electron generation can be significantly prolonged compared with the service life of traditional thermal-field emission and cold-field emission filaments, and the applications of an electron-beam exposure machine, a scanning electron microscope, a transmission electron microscope and other X-ray light sources can be satisfied.

Abstract: A free radical generator includes a discharge electrode assembly with discharge electrode pins in a radial pattern and electrically configured to receive one or more voltage pulses. A liquid or solid counter electrode has a surface separated from the pins by a discharge gap. A motive element rotates the electrode assembly such that the array of pins rotates about an axis and the pins move relative to the counter electrode. A liquid treatment system may include a free radical generator and introduce free radicals into the liquid. A gas treatment system may include the free radical generator, a gas flow generating element to, a column for the flow of gas, and a liquid introduction element operable to introduce a liquid from a liquid bath into the interior space of the column such that the flow of gas is exposed to the liquid. Methods and further systems are also provided.

Abstract: A linear magnetron cathode is disclosed which may be used as a vapor or plasma source for coating deposition or ion processing. The cathode has the shape of an elongated rectangular bar with vaporization of material occurring from an evaporable surface wrapping around the periphery of the bar, along two opposite sides and around both ends. A magnetic field is established over the entire evaporable surface which has a component parallel to the surface and perpendicular to the long direction of the cathode, forming a closed-loop magnetic tunnel around the periphery which directs an arc plasma discharge. Side shields adjacent to sand projecting outward from the sides of the evaporable surface block a significant fraction of the macroparticles ejected from reaching the substrate region. The invention provides uniform cathode erosion and a vaporized material stream in two directions over an extended length, permitting uniform deposition or implantation over large areas.

The cathode of the present invention is fully interchangeable with conventional oxide cathodes and has a longer lifetimes and an improved cut-off drift characteristic.
