The present disclosure provides novel endophyte strains or cultures thereof that have a symbiotic relationship with plants. The present disclosure further provides methods of improving seed vitality, biotic and abiotic stress resistance, plant health and yield under both stressed and unstressed environmental conditions, comprising inoculating a seed with the novel endophyte strains and cultivating a plant therefrom.
Abstract:
A new class of antennas and microwave components are introduced. In this approach a high-permittivity dielectric film is applied (i.e. printed) on a dielectric substrate, which may be grounded. By changing the shape of the high-permittivity film, different microwave devices (e.g. waveguides, filters, couplers, and antennas) are produced. By changing the size and permittivity of the high-permittivity film and dielectric substrate, these elements are designed at different frequencies for different applications. Highly-efficient microwave devices can result due to the absence of surface currents.

Nucleic acid molecules from cannabis has been isolated and characterized and encode polypeptides having aromatic prenyltransferase activity. Expression or over-expression of the nucleic acids alters levels of cannabinoid compounds. The polypeptides may be used in vivo or in vitro to produce cannabinoid compounds.

The recombinant production of Gap4, a chimeric GapC plasmin binding protein comprising the entire amino acid sequence of the Streptococcus dysgalactiae GapC protein in addition to unique amino acid sequences from the Streptococcus parauberis and Streptococcus agalactiae GapC proteins, is described. Also described is the use of Gap4 chimeric GapC protein in vaccine compositions to prevent or treat streptococcal infections in general and mastitis in particular.
Abstract:
The cloning of a novel PCVII viral genome is described as is expression of proteins derived from the PCVII genome. These proteins can be used in vaccine compositions for the prevention and treatment of PCVII infections, as well as in diagnostic methods for determining the presence of PCVII infections in a vertebrate subject. Polynucleotides derived from the viral genome can be used as diagnostic primers and probes.

This disclosure provides a preserving composition comprising a cholesterol:carrier complex, optionally a cholesterol:cyclodextrin complex (CC complex) and/or a cell permeable antioxidant peptide and a biological buffer and optionally a cryprotectant, wherein the preserving composition is optionally substantially free of animal phospholipid, animal protein and/or animal lipoprotein. The disclosure also provides methods for the use of the preserving composition in cryopreservation of semen or sperm cells. Also provided is a kit comprising the preserving composition having a CC complex, a biological buffer, a cryoprotectant, a carbohydrate, a pH stabilizer, an antibiotic or antibiotic cocktail and/or a cell permeable anti-oxidant peptide.
