Abstract:
PURPOSE: Provided is a composition of external application to the skin containing extract of Adenophorea radix, thereby preventing dryness of the skin, improving moisture retaining property of the skin, and preventing and treating atopic dermatitis and skin inflammation. CONSTITUTION: A composition of external application to the skin is characterized by containing, as an active ingredient, 0.0001-60 wt.% of extract of Adenophorea radix. The composition moisturizes the skin, improves atopic dermatitis or skin inflammation, facilitates the differentiation of keratinocyte and expression of filaggrin, promotes the generation of ceramide, and activates PPAR-alpha.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for generating a heat protection factor is provided to generate a heat protection factor, thereby objectively evaluating an effect of a cosmetic product including heat protection materials. CONSTITUTION: A first area spread with heat protection materials and a second area which is no the heat protection materials are heated respectively(S1). Saturation temperature of the first area is measured(S3). The saturation temperature of the second area is measured. An energy corresponding to heat heated in the first area is divided into the saturation temperature of the first area for calculating a first energy(S5). The energy corresponding to heat heated in the second area is divided into the saturation temperature of the second area for calculating a second energy. A heat protection factor of the heat protection materials is calculated by dividing the first energy into the second energy(S6). [Reference numerals] (AA) Start; (BB) End; (S1) Applying heat in a first area where a heat protection material is spread and a second area where no heat protection material is spread; (S2) Periodically measuring the temperature of the first area and the second area; (S3) Determining whether the temperature of the first area and the second area reaches a saturation temperature; (S4) Calculating the minimum heating amount of the first area and the second area; (S5) Calculating first and second energy by using the minimum heating amount of the first area and the second area and the saturation temperature; (S6) Calculating a heat protection factor of a heat protection material by using the first and second energy

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing skin condition is provide to ensure simply and quick diagnosis of skin condition and to receive proper skin care. CONSTITUTION: A method for diagnosing skin condition comprises: a step of collecting skin or skin secretion; and a step of measuring a biomarker of the skin or skin secretion. The skin condition includes skin aging, moisture degree, oxidation degree. The biomarker for diagnosing skin aging contains gelatinase or stratum corneum carbonylated protein(SCCP). The biomarker for diagnosing skin moisture degree contains SCCP, lactate, pH, SC tryptase-like enzyme, plasmin, trypsin-like kallikreins(KLK5), chymotrypsin-like kallikreins(KLK7), or transglutaminase(TGase). The biomarker for measuring oxidation degree contains catalase, glutathione, or cathepsin L.

PURPOSE: A composition of external use skin formulation for anti-aging and moisturizing is provided to suppress MMP(matrix metalloprotease) increase. CONSTITUTION: A composition of external use skin formulation contains 0.001-10 weight% of 11,14,17-Eicosatrienoic acid(ETA) as an active ingredient. ETA is contained in oil phase. The composition is used for preventing aging through reduction of collagenase expression. The composition is also used for skin moisturizing by suppressing skin barrier damage.
Abstract:
A skin external composition improving anti-aging through the regulation of caveolin productivity is provided to promote the collagen biosynthesis, prevent skin aging and enhance skin elasticity. A skin external composition comprises 0.001-10% by weight of caveolin or a material which increases the caveolin biosynthesis as a efficient ingredient. The material which increases the caveolin biosynthesis is the cholesterol. The skin external composition is used in a form of skin, lotion, massage cream, pack, gel, ointment, gel, cream, patch, or transdermal administration of spray. A screening process is performed by selecting materials which increase the caveolin productivity in dermis from candidate materials in vitro.

Abstract:
A skin external composition comprising a cathepsin G inhibitor is provided to prevent an adhesion protein from being degraded by intrinsic aging and photo-aging, reduce the production of metalloproteinase and inhibit the activity of metalloproteinase, thereby being more potent anti-aging substance than existing anti-aging substances. A method for screening anti-aging materials is provided to develop the anti-aging materials which effectively inhibit the quantitative and qualitative increase of metalloproteinase, resulting from the degradation of an adhesion protein by cathepsin G in skin cells without direct UV irradiation. A skin external composition for preventing skin aging comprises 0.01-10 wt% a cathepsin G inhibitor as an effective ingredient, wherein the cathepsin G inhibitor is at least one selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formulae(1) to (4). The composition is formulated into skin lotion, astringent lotion, milk lotion, nourishing cream, essence, massage cream, eye cream, pack, body lotion, body cream, body oil or body essence. A method for screening an anti-aging material comprises the steps of: (a) adding an anti-aging candidate material to a substrate in the presence of cathepsin G enzyme; and (b) measuring the inhibition of activity of the cathepsin G enzyme. Further, the measure of the inhibition of activity of the cathepsin G enzyme is performed by measuring a concentration of a produced metalloprotease.
