Abstract:
The present invention relates to a light emitting device and, especially, to a white light emitting device including a fluorescent substance and semiconductor nanocrystals. Provided is the light emitting device including a blue light source, a fluorescent substance, and semiconductor nanocrystals and forming white light that a color rendering index (CRI) and a red color rending index (R9) are more than 90. By including the fluorescent substance and the semiconductor nanocrystals, light emitting efficiency of the light emitting device is not reduced with the high color rendering index and red color rendering index.
Abstract:
A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display comprising the same are disclosed. The backlight unit comprises: an LED light source; and a light converting layer which is spaced apart from the LED light source between liquid crystal panels, emits a light toward the liquid crystal panel by converting the light from the LED light source to a white light, and includes a barrier material blocking penetration of at least one of semiconductor nanocrystals, external moisture, and external oxygen.
