Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for extending a one-touch key in an all-in-one multifunction device is provided to extend and use a limited one touch key by inputting and storing a plurality of numbers to the one touch key so that dialing can simply be executed. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(110) controls an all-in-one multifunction device(100) overall according to a control program stored in a memory(150). The control unit(110) senses a key inputted to the all-in-one multifunction device(100) and detects a one touch key. The control unit(110) inputs and stores a desired number in an extension one touch key which is set in an operational panel(120). An NCU(Network Control Unit)(180), operated according to the control of the control unit(110), forms a loop and interfaces a PSTN signal with a modem(170). The modem(170) demodulates a modulation signal inputted through the NCU(180) and modulates a signal to be sent to a telephone signal through the NCU(180). The operational panel(120) provides key data dependent on a key input to the control unit(110). A scanner(140) converts a supplied manuscript into image data and provides the data to the control unit(110). A printer prints the image data. A sensor(130) check various states of the all-in-one multifunction device(100) and annunciates them to the control unit(110). The memory(150) stores the control program of the control unit(110) and the image data.
