(1) first signal selecting means for selectively outputting first, second, third, and fourth controlling signals which are received from external; (2) first attenuating means which receives a first input signal, latches it in response to a first clock signal, attenuates it in response to the first controlling signal, and outputs it in response to a second clock signal, and which receives a second input signal, latches it in response to the first clock signal, attenuates it in response to the second controlling signal, and outputs it in response to the second clock signal; (3) second attenuating means which receives a first input signal, latches it in response to a first clock signal, attenuates it in response to the third controlling signal, and outputs it in response to a third clock signal, and which receives a second input signal, latches it in response to the first clock signal, attenuates it in response to the fourth controlling signal, and outputs it in response to the third clock signal; (4) first mixing means for mixing the output signals of the first attenuating means in response to the first and second controlling signals; (5) second mixing means for mixing the output signals of the second attenuating means in response to the third and fourth controlling signals; (6) second signal selecting means for selectively outputting the output signals of the first and second mixing means; (7) means for detecting an overflow with the output signals of the second signal selecting means; and (8) means for processing the overflow, which sets it a maximum value of positive or negative number in response to the detected overflow signal.

A mixer using an attenuator is disclosed. The mixer comprises a first signal selection unit(70) for receiving a first, a second, a third and a fourth control signals applied from an external and for selecting one signal to provide the selected control signal; a first attenuating unit(82) for latching a first input information according to a first clock signal, attenuating the latched signal according to the first control signal, and outputting the attenuated signal according to a second clock signal, and for latching a second input information according to a first clock signal, attenuating the latched signal according to the second control signal, and outputting the attenuated signal according to a second clock signal; a second attenuating unit(84) for latching a first input information according to a first clock signal, attenuating the latched signal according to the third control signal, and outputting the attenuated signal according to a third clock signal, and for latching a second input information according to a first clock signal, attenuating the latched signal according to the fourth control signal, and outputting the attenuated signal according to a third clock signal; a first mixing unit(100) for mixing the outputs from the first attenuating unit in responsive to the frist and the second control signals; a second mixing unit(110) for mixing the outputs form the second attenuating unit in responsive to the third and the fourth control signals; and a second signal selection unit(120) for selectively outputting the outputs from the first and the second mixing units.

본 발명은 회로가 간단하고 순차적 처리가 가능하며 또한 오비플로에 대한 처리가 가능한 감쇠기를 이용한 믹서를 공개한다. 그 믹서는 외부로부터 인가되는 제어신호들을 인가받아 이를 선택하여 출력하는 제1신호선택 수단과, 제1 및 제2입력정보를 입력받아 감쇠하는 제1 및 제2감쇠수단과, 상기 제1감쇠수단의 출력신호들을 믹싱하는 제1믹싱수단과, 상기 제2감쇠수단의 출력신호들을 믹싱하는 제2믹싱수단과, 상기 제1믹싱수단 및 상기 제2믹싱수단의 출력신호들을 선택하여 출력하여 제2신호선택수단과, 오보플로를 검출하는 오버플로 검출수단 및 오버플로 발생시 양수 또는 음수의 최대값으로 설정하는 오버플로 처리수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 한다.
