Abstract: A method and an apparatus for fast handover in a communication system are provided to perform a handover more effectively by reducing a delay time until the mobile station determines the handover and performs the handover practically. If an MS(Mobile Station)(201) determines a handover, the MS transmits a bandwidth allocation request message to a serving base station(203). The serving base station transmits a bandwidth allocation message and allocates the bandwidth. The MS transmits An HO-REQ(HandOver ReQuest) message to an uplink resource corresponding to the allocated bandwidth information. The serving base station detects a recommended neighboring base station list from an HO-REQ IE(Information Element). The serving base station obtains a bandwidth and QoS(Quality of Service) to be transmitted to the MS. The MS determines a target base station(205) which is capable of providing the required bandwidth and QoS. The serving base station transmits the bandwidth allocation message for receiving HO-IND(HandOver INDication) message to the MS, and allocates the bandwidth. The MS calculates an uplink time offset for the target base station.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for transceiving data in a communication system are provided to perform data transceiving using an SIP and acquire data service information corresponding call setup and call release through the SIP message in an MAC layer, thereby performing call setup of the MAC layer without receiving special application layer information. An MAC(Media Access Control) layer of an MS(Mobile Station) detects an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) message, and analyzes and stores call information through the SIP message to acquire information about call setup between application layers(411). If call setup between the application layers is completed, the MS requests generation a call between the MS and an MAC layer of a corresponding MS to which data will be transceived(413,417). The MS receives a DSA-RSP(Dynamic Service Addition-Response) message corresponding to DSA-REQ(Rquest) message transmission(419). The MS transmits the DSA-ACK message to the corresponding MS(421). After that, the MS completes call setup of the MAC layer through the above transceiving processes of the DSA message(423).

Abstract: A fusing device and an image forming apparatus applying the same are provided to keep fusing temperature in a fusing section uniformly using heating rollers, a pressing roller, a temperature sensor, and a controller. A fusing device fuses an image transferred to a recording material(22). The fusing device includes a heat source(21), heating rollers(23), a pressing roller(25), a temperature sensor(29), and a controller(31). The surfaces of the heating rollers are heated by the heat from the heat source. The pressing roller presses the recording material along with the heating rollers. The controller controls the on/off of the heat source. When the time when the heat from the heat source is transmitted to the surface of the heating roller is a total temperature response retardation time d, the controller supplies power to the heat source by as long as d, the d satisfies the following formula; d= tau+[j-(k*l/Vp)]/k. The tau is a heat constant of the temperature sensor. j is heat capacity of the heating roller. k is power supplied to the heat source. l is length of the recording material. Vp is process speed.

Abstract: A method for transceiving data in a wireless access communication network system and a device thereof are provided to request uplink radio resource allocation to a base station, so that the base station allocates uplink radio resources to a terminal by detecting a data transmission rate according to a VA(Voice Activity) code, thereby increasing usage efficiency of radio resources. A voice CODEC(Coder Decoder)(602) generates data to input the data to data queues(604). The data queues(604) store the data. A VA code generator(606) reads size of the stored data, and generates a VA code mapped with a data transmission rate corresponding to VA information. The VA code generator(606) selects the VA code by considering a maximum allowable traffic transmission rate as well as voice data queue information. The selected VA code is modulated through a modulator(612), and the modulated VA code is transmitted to a base station. A demodulator(614) receives a UL-MAP from a base station, demodulates the received UL-MAP, and then outputs the UL-MAP to a decoder(614). The decoder(616) decodes the demodulated UL-MAP and transmits the decoded UL MAP to a UL-MAP parser(618). The UL-MAP parser(618) obtains uplink resource allocation amount information from the decoded UL-MAP, and outputs the information to a PDU(Packet Data Unit) generator(608). The PDU generator(608) generates a PDU depending on the uplink radio resource and then output the PDU to an encoder(610). The encoder encodes the PDU and outputs the encoded to the modulator(612).

Abstract: A system and a method for providing subscriber information by using standby time in a mobile communication system are provided to solve the tedium of call standby time and to construct a new terminal/system profit model by providing a called subscriber's basic information and associated information during the call waiting time. A called terminal accesses a standby time saving server, registers subscriber information, joins a standby time information service, and establishes an open level for subscriber information(501). An MSC(Mobile Switching Center), if a call request message is received from a calling terminal(503), requests the standby time saving server to transmit called subscriber information(505). Receiving called subscriber information, the MSC checks whether the received called subscriber information is matched with a call ID(507). If matched, the MSC creates standby time information using the received called subscriber information and transmits it to the calling terminal. At the same time, the MSC forwards the call request message to the called terminal(509).
