Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for controlling a power saving mode of a mobile communication system is provided to lengthen a paging cycle according to a battery remaining amount or by a user, thereby lengthening a local update cycle. CONSTITUTION: A location managing server generates a new current paging cycle value based on received power saving mode information(S40). A mobile communication terminal receives the current paging cycle value through a base station and an MME(Mobility Management Entity)(S42,S44). The mobile communication terminal resets a paging cycle and a location update cycle which are set before(S46). The mobile communication terminal reduces power.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A multimedia MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service) control method of a mobile terminal in the single frequency network is provided to minimize the battery consumption of a mobile terminal, when the channels for the service requested by a user based on the MCCH(Multicast Control CHannel) information. CONSTITUTION: According to the service open request, the communications layer for service is established(301). The communications layer comprises a PDCP(Packet Data Convergence Protocol) layer, a RLC(Radio Link Control) layer and a MAC(Media Access Control) layer. It is confirm whether the dynamic scheduling information is received or not in a physical multicast channel having the service from MAC layer(303). In case the reception is failed, the establishment for the MAC layer is release(305). The reception from the muticast channel is aborted.

PURPOSE: A multimedia broadcast-multicast service(MBMS) method is provided to prevent the MBMS from cutting although a mobile terminal is moved. CONSTITUTION: If a neighbor MBMS control information is changed, a first evolved node B receives MBMS paging information, which includes a notice information, from a first base station. In an MBMS control information update period, the changed neighbor MBMS control information is received and saved from the first base station(S350). If a base station is changed from the first base station to a second base station, P-T-M wireless bearer is reset based on the neighbor cell MBMS control information(S370). The MBMS is provided from the second base station.

A method for providing home network information of a mobile terminal in a packet data serving node of a broadband wireless packet communication system is provided to enhance efficiency without collecting/updating periodically the home network information of the mobile terminal. An authentication message is transmitted to an authentication server(271) according to an authentication request of a mobile terminal(21) and the mobile terminal receives an authentication message including mobile IP address setting information and home network data server information(301,302). An initial authentication process for the mobile terminal is completed by storing the mobile IP address setting information and the home network data server information and transmitting the mobile IP address setting information and the home network data server information to the mobile terminal(303,304). A response message corresponding to home network information of the mobile terminal is received by using the home network data server information according to an information request message of the mobile terminal(307-309). The mobile IP address setting information is inserted into the response message and is transmitted to the mobile server(310,311,312).
Abstract:
A handover method for preventing packet loss by applying FMIPv6 in a PAR of a potable Internet system is provided to generate a unidirectional tunnel between a serving cell and a target cell, transmit a transmitting packet through the tunnel, delete the unidirectional tunnel during a reactive mode of the FMIPv6 after a handover process at the target cell and generate a bidirectional tunnel instead of the unidirectional tunnel, thereby preventing the packet loss. A handover method comprises the following steps of: generating a unidirectional channel between a terminal and a serving PAR(Packet Access Router) while performing handover for the terminal, and receiving un-transmitted data, which will be transmitted from the serving PAR to the terminal, through the unidirectional channel(S122,S124); and generating a bidirectional channel, for data transceiving between the serving PAR and the terminal, between the terminal and the serving PAR while performing FMIPv6(Fast Mobile Internet Protocol version 6) fast handover after performing the handover for the terminal(s136,s137).
