Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for printing and reading a 4-state barcode and a controlling method thereof are provided to effectively carry out the postal service by improving the reading for an automatic postal matter classification process and the barcode information acquirement of a customer. CONSTITUTION: A barcode information acquirer acquires and inputs the customer recognition information, the article information and the postal matter classification information, and stores and judges the postal matter classification information(101,102). An information density enhancer generates a value of a bar by finding out a character value through the application of a compression method according to an information type and a cipher(103). An input information encoder arranges the value in an order of a bar value of the 4-state barcode(104). An error correction code word generator generates an error code word by an exclusive-OR bit operation method standardized by a coefficient value of an exponent function(105). A print frame generator prints a 4-state barcode font on the postal matter by arranging a start bar, the data generated by the information density enhancer, the error correction code word and a stop bar(107).

Abstract: 본발명은바코드규격검사및 고정밀도로인쇄된바코드를위한판독시스템및 이시스템을이용한판독방법을제공하기위한것이다. 본발명은일반유통용바코드(1 차원또는 2 차원) 및우편물자동구분처리용인 4 상태바코드와같이다층형구조에의하여표현된바코드를판독하는기술과고밀도로축소된바코드를바의높이를 3단계이상으로나누어검사하고, 검은색바의두께와흰색공간값을측정하여정확한값으로판독한다. 종래에는레이저빔에의하여판독하였으나, 바코드인쇄밀도를 1/100mm에서 1/1,000mm 단위이상의정밀도로판독되어야할 경우에는바코드를판독할수 없었으며, 바코드의규격이길이단위의척도로구성된경우에는정확한규격에의한값으로판독할수 없었다. 본발명은레이저다이오드어레이를이용하여이러한종래기술의문제점을극복하였다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A mail processing system is provided to receive mail by registering data for a mail service server of a post office on customer barcodes, to divide the mail and to check the process data and time data after testing the automatic division of the received mail. CONSTITUTION: In a process of receiving and dividing mail, the processing data of the mail are transmitted to each customer automatically by application of receiver names and sender customer IDs(Identification) to customer barcodes. If the receiver data of the received mail are wrong, the right mail data are corrected and delivered. The zip codes and delivery order codes necessary for printing the customer barcodes are generated automatically by using the mail address and receiver name data written by the senders. In addition, the processing states of the mail are informed to the customers through each sender E-mail address. If the mail(132) is sent back by the wrong receiver data, the corresponding customer barcode is read(141), the mail data of the sender is generated, and a return barcode is printed(144) to send back the mail within a short time. At the same time, the return data are informed to the sender(146) to prevent the sender from sending the mail again. In case of regular returned mail(115), the data is compared with a return data list. The returned mail is processed as unavailable and returned to the sender. Therefore, the time required for processing unavailable mail is shortened.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An automatic processing system for a return mail and method thereof are provided to automate and speed a return mail process by automatically reading sender information and distinguishing the information at high speed and to reduce the number of return mails by preventing expected return mails from being sent with the search of receiver information. CONSTITUTION: An automatic processing system processes the image of a return mail and extracts a receiver address domain and a sender address domain. Then, the system stores a receiver address in a return mail receiver dictionary and prints a sender address barcode on the return mail. Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and a method for reading bar code using a laster beam are provided to increase the readability by generating a rate value of a laster beam reflected and projected from a reading object, by rearraying the value according to a movement direction of the laster beam, by reproducing a rate value using the density of the beam, and by detecting the condition of a bar.
