PURPOSE: A passive optical network apparatus for transmitting optical signals is provided to promote band efficiency of uplink signals by changing a complex circuit into a simple circuit for transmitting and receiving the uplink signals. CONSTITUTION: An optical circulator(541) transmits a downlink signal inputted from a downlink optical trunk network to a wavelength distributer(542). The optical circulator transmits uplink signals inputted from the wavelength distributer to the downlink optical trunk network and a different uplink optical trunk network. The wavelength distributer distributes the downlink signal to plural wavelengths. The wavelength distributer connects the downlink signal to an optical distribution network. The wavelength distributer connects the uplink signal inputted from the optical distributer to the optical circulator.

PURPOSE: An optical network end apparatus and power saving method thereof are provided to successively operate function blocks in a sleep mode by confirming states of the function blocks in an optical network end apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A processor(110) confirms whether one or more DL(DownLink) physical blocks(120), an UL(UpLink) physical block(140), and data switching block(130) are operated in each idle mode. The processor successively transmits the function blocks to a sleep mode according to confirmation results. The processor successively transmits an optical transmission and reception block(160) and the medium access control block to the sleep mode by determining a sleep mode transmission of an MAC(Medium Access Control) block(150).

PURPOSE: A terminal, relay node and a stream processing method for a video conference system are provided to supply a flexible video conference service. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(111) receives a media. An encoder(112) generates basic streams from the media. A multiplexing unit(113) generates transport stream by multiplexing the basic streams. An interface(114) transmits the transmission stream by a relay node related to a first receiving terminal among receiving terminals. The relay node generates a customized transport stream including at least one among the basic stream form the transport stream based on display information of the first receiving terminal.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for broadcast program notice of a preset channel and changing a channel in a user terminal are provided to enable a user to watch desired broadcast without delay by providing the broadcast preview output image about the desired channel. CONSTITUTION: A broadcast program information storage unit(210) stores the broadcast preview guide information. A broadcast preview image generator unit(220) receives the broadcast preview guide information from the broadcast program information storage unit. The broadcast preview image generator unit generates a broadcasting preview output image. An image control unit(230) composites the present broadcast image and the generated broadcast preview output image. A preview broadcasting composition unit(240) displays the composition image.

PURPOSE: A method for providing a multi angle digital broadcasting service is provided to implement a multi angle service in an IPTV by providing a photographed image of selected angle in 3D stereo image type. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of cameras(10-1 to 10-5) each generates right/left stereo images. A multi angle broadcasting service providing device(20) encodes the photographed images recording from a plurality of cameras in transport stream type. The multi angle broadcast service providing device performs inter-stream synchronization. A user terminal(30) outputs the transport stream through screen. If user requests the multi angle screen, the user terminal outputs the transport stream about the corresponding multi angle screen.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inserting or extracting timestamp information are provided to transmit network time schedule display information efficiently without violating a transmission standard. CONSTITUTION: A timestamp information generator(110) generates time schedule display information utilized in time synchronization between transmission and reception terminals or network jitter compensation. A packetizer(100) creates a real time transport protocol packet or a user datagram protocol including transport stream packets and the time schedule display information. The packetizer periodically creates and inserts the UDP or RTP packet including the time schedule display information.

An apparatus for supporting handover based on the mobile IP network by using the 2-layer information and a method thereof are provided to maintain the Internet connection continuously by using the 2-layer information even in case a wireless Internet terminal has to perform the handover during the movement, thereby preventing the interception of a service. A registration request message receiving unit(210) receives a registration request message from a mobile terminal which predicts the handover from the first network(204) to the second network(203). A registration request message transmitting unit(220) transmits the registration request message to a home server to instruct registration of the address of the second network and the tunneling of data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal to the second network. A data forwarding unit(230) forwards the tunneled data to the first network until the mobile terminal connects to the second network.
