Abstract: 영상기반 사람 검출을 위한 특징 추출 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 영상기반 사람 검출을 위한 특징 추출 방법 및 장치는 제공된 영상을 특정 크기의 블록으로 분할하고, 분할된 각 블록에서 중심 픽셀과 주변 픽셀의 명암 차이 값을 계산하며, 상기 명암 차이 값에 상응하는 히스토그램을 생성하고, 상기 히스토그램으로부터 상기 분할된 각 블록의 특징벡터를 생성하여 상기 블록의 특징벡터로부터 상기 제공된 영상의 특징벡터를 생성하는 것을 포함하는 사람 검출을 위한 특징을 추출하여 사람 검출을 수행함으로써 수직적 에지를 가지는 객체들 사이에서도 검출 오류를 줄일 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A human tracing method using a color histogram is provided to adaptively trace a human using the color histogram of different targets according to a pose of the human in case of tracing the human based on a particle filter, thereby stably improving tracing performance despite a change of the pose. CONSTITUTION: A human tracing device performs color space conversion about inputted image data (S20). The human tracing device produces a state equation about a particle based on converted data (S30). The human tracing device calculates an adaptive observation similarity according to a pose of a human (S40). The human tracing device extracts the particle again based on the adaptive observation similarity and calculates a state estimate value of the human (S50,S60). Abstract: PURPOSE: A safety device for a gun using biometrics and a control method thereof are provided to control permission to use a gun by recognizing the identity of a user from bio information including the iris and finger vein patterns of the user. CONSTITUTION: A safety device for a gun using biometrics comprises an iris recognition part(110), a finger vein recognition part(120), and a controller(130). The iris recognition part is installed in the iron sight of a gun and analyzes infrared rays reflected off user's eyes to obtain an iris image. The finger vein recognition part is installed in the trigger of the gun, scans infrared rays to user's finger contacting the trigger, and analyzes the infrared ray passing through the finger to obtain a finger vein image. The controller extracts iris pattern information and finger vein pattern information from the iris and finger vein images, performs user authentication using the iris pattern information or finger vein pattern information, and controls the lock device of the gun according to the user authentication result.
