Abstract: Disclosed by the present invention are an apparatus for detecting face components and a method thereof. Abstract: 본 발명은 얼굴영상 검증 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 즉, 본 발명에서는 얼굴을 인증 또는 인식하는 장치에서 사진 및 동영상 등의 위조한 얼굴 영상과 실제 얼굴 영상을 구별함에 있어서, 실제 3차원 얼굴의 경우 조명위치에 따라 굴곡/윤곽 영역에서 생성되는 그림자의 위치가 다르게 나타나며, 특정패턴의 그림자를 얼굴로 투사하는 경우, 투사된 그림자 패턴이 얼굴의 윤곽에 따라 왜곡되는 특성을 분석하여 얼굴 영상의 실제 여부를 보다 정확히 판정함으로써, 출입통제기, ATM, CCTV 감시장치 등을 위한 얼굴인식 시스템에서 사진이나 동영상 등 타인의 얼굴정보를 도용하여 입력영상을 조작하거나 위조하는 것을 방지하여 시스템의 보안성을 높일 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A safety device for a gun using biometrics and a control method thereof are provided to control permission to use a gun by recognizing the identity of a user from bio information including the iris and finger vein patterns of the user. CONSTITUTION: A safety device for a gun using biometrics comprises an iris recognition part(110), a finger vein recognition part(120), and a controller(130). The iris recognition part is installed in the iron sight of a gun and analyzes infrared rays reflected off user's eyes to obtain an iris image. The finger vein recognition part is installed in the trigger of the gun, scans infrared rays to user's finger contacting the trigger, and analyzes the infrared ray passing through the finger to obtain a finger vein image. The controller extracts iris pattern information and finger vein pattern information from the iris and finger vein images, performs user authentication using the iris pattern information or finger vein pattern information, and controls the lock device of the gun according to the user authentication result.
