PURPOSE: A stereoscopic video transceiving method and an apparatus thereof are provided to increase the efficiency of a two-dimensional and three-dimensional broadcasting service. CONSTITUTION: A video format processing unit(410) generates a reference image and an additional image by using a left-image and a right-image. An encoding unit encodes the reference image and the additional image. The encoding unit generates a reference image stream and an additional image stream. A multiplexing and transmitting unit(440) multiplexes the reference image stream and the additional image stream. The multiplexing and transmitting unit generates single stream. The multiplexing and transmitting unit transmits image information including the single stream. PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a broadcasting signal is provided to automatically vary a decoding method and a parallax barrier according to a broadcasting mode. CONSTITUTION: If a broadcasting program is inputted, a broadcasting service device obtains the broadcasting mode information of the corresponding broadcasting program by the analysis of the broadcasting program inputted through the program scheduler(S101,S102). The broadcasting service device encoded stream(S103). The broadcasting service device generates transport stream through a multiplexer(S104).

PURPOSE: A signaling method for stereoscopic video service, and an apparatus using thereof are provided to provide the stereoscopic video service to users by applying additional descriptor information to a conventional signaling method. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus using a signaling method for stereoscopic video service comprises the following: a PES(packetized elementary stream) packetizer(715) PES packetizing a left video ES(elementary stream), a right video ES, and an audio ES; a section generator(725) transferring a PSI(program specific information) section to a multiplexer(720); and the multiplexer multiplexing the left video PES packet, the right video PES packet, and the audio PES packet.

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting stereoscopic image information capable of using a signaling table and a device thereof are provided to offer various types of stereoscopic image service. CONSTITUTION: A device forms a signaling table(S110). The signaling table includes stream type information. The stream type information includes the information which directs a stereoscopic image service type. The device transmits image information with signaling table information and image data information(S120). The stream type information includes the stream type of supplementary image which comprises a service compatible stereoscopic image.

PURPOSE: A method for reproducing contents in a digital broadcasting system is provided to extend the contents into 3D video/image. CONSTITUTION: A standard track including a standard segment with 2D or 3D data is received(S210). A reference track including a supplementary segment with the 3D data is received(S220). The standard track is reproduced by referring to the reference track(S230). The standard segment temporally corresponds to the reference segment. The reference segment is not overlapped or is synchronized with the reference segment.

PURPOSE: A device and method for displaying a 3D image are provided to support the movement and size conversion of A 3D object and decrease shaking phenomena of an image through coordinate correction. PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing 3d image data in a 3d image system are provided to convert a depth image into a parallax map to transmit image data by a new transmission method, thereby increasing coding efficiency in transmission and reducing a calculation amount with a memory used in a receiver. CONSTITUTION: The first filtering unit(120) quantizes depth image data using a histogram included in image data received from image photographing devices. The second filtering unit(140) measures discontinuity in the quantized depth image data. The second filtering unit performs smoothing and filtering based on an inclined direction using the discontinuity. PURPOSE: A 3D broadcast service transceiving method and a system thereof for offering 3D image through ATSC-M broadcasting network are provided to efficiently supply a three dimensional broadcasting service by using broadcasting network. CONSTITUTION: An encoding unit(102) encodes a reference image and an additional image of a 3D broadcast service. The encoding unit generates a reference image stream and additional image stream. An input unit(104) inputs a 3D broadcast service on a service map table. A transmission unit(106) transmits the standards video stream, the video stream and service map table. The service map table comprises service identification information, multi ensemble information, element descriptive information and service descriptive information.
