    Abstract: A system for detecting leakage of refrigerant in an air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided for a driver to precisely and easily check whether refrigerant is leaked from a condenser, an expansion valve, an evaporator or a compressor, thereby improving reliability in the operation of the air conditioner and convenience of the repair. A system for detecting leakage of refrigerant in an air conditioner includes valve units(100a-100d) having valve bodies mounted to pipes connected to a condenser(10), an expansion valve(20), an evaporator(30), and a compressor(40) respectively and formed with sealed spaces its inside. A valve is positioned at a side of each of the valve bodies for opening or closing a tubular way(50) extended to the sealed space alternatively. Pressure detecting sensors are mounted on the tubular paths through which refrigerant is introduced. A commanding part(200) has a plurality of commanding elements(210a-210d) corresponding to the condenser, the expansion valve, the evaporator and the compressor. A control part(300) is connected to the valve units and the commanding part for controlling the opening and closing of the valves and simultaneously comparing pressure of refrigerant detected by the pressure detecting sensors to drive the commanding element corresponding to one of the condenser, the expansion valve, the evaporator and the compressor, in which the refrigerant leakage is generated.

CONSTITUTION: A radiator-mounting apparatus for a vehicle includes strain gauges(6,7), a control device(8) of a piezo-electric element(9) and the piezo-electric element. The strain gauge is installed to a surface of a radiator tube(5) vertically each other to measure generated strain. The control device of the piezo-electric element sends an electric signal to the piezo-electric element according to valued measured in the strain gauge. The piezo-electric element is installed between a header and a side frame(3) to connect the control device of the piezo-electric element electrically. Thereby, thermal fatigue fracture of the radiator tube is prevented by absorbing thermal stress generated by thermal deflection with temperature of a radiator core changing.
