Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for generating variable tumble flow is provided to generate a tumble by making air flow through respective passages while minimizing the flow resistance of air supplied to a combustion chamber of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A device for generating variable tumble flow comprises a partition(3) for dividing an intake port into two passages, a first and a second passages(5,7), an opening degree control valve(9) for selectively varying the opening degree of the first and the second passages, and an operation unit(11) for operating the opening degree control valve. The opening degree control valve installed between an intake pipe(13) and the intake port and having a communication space(15) having a circular section. A valve spool(17) having a semicircular section is formed in the communication space to be contacted to the communication space and varies the opening degree of the first and the second passages by the rotation thereof.
