Abstract:
PURPOSE: A fuel-return noise prevention device of a bombe of an LPI(Liquefied Petroleum Gas Injection) vehicle is provided to prevent noise caused by bubble floatation or fluid drop by separating over-supplied fuel returned into the bombe into liquid and gaseous fuel, diffusing the gaseous fuel into a space, and flowing the liquid fuel into pre-filled liquid fuel. CONSTITUTION: A fuel-return noise prevention device of a bombe(1) of an LPI vehicle is composed of a return pipe(2) inserted and mounted in the bombe; a box-shaped reservoir(7) having an upside connected to the return pipe and a plurality of vent holes(7a) on the upside; and a discharge pipe(8) of which an upper end is coupled to the lower side of the reservoir and a lower end is extended adjacently to the bottom surface of the bombe. The lower end of the discharge pipe is positioned in the depth that the fuel is filled in 10% of the fuel tank.

PURPOSE: A method for calculating ethanol content of fuel in an engine is provided to calculate the ethanol content and control the fuel injection amount only when fuel amount is changed, thereby reducing the load of the ECU. CONSTITUTION: A method for calculating ethanol content of fuel in an engine comprises a step of calculating the ethanol content of fuel from a signal of an ethanol sensor when ignition is on(S305,S307), and a step of controlling the fuel injection amount of the engine according to the calculated ethanol content(S309). The fuel level sensor measures the fuel amount in a fuel tank during the operation of the engine.

An LPI(Liquefied Petroleum gas Injection) engine system is provided to prevent LPG from leaking through an intake system of an engine through an injector during ignition off, by opening/closing the LPG injection path in interlock with the starting of the engine. An LPI engine system comprises an injector(3) arranged in an intake system of an engine(1) so as to inject LPG; a fuel bombe(5) for storing LPG to be supplied to the injector; a supply line(7) and a return line(9) for interconnecting the injector and the fuel bombe and supplying and returning LPG; an engine control unit(11) for controlling the injection timing and injection amount of LPG in accordance with the travel status; and an LPI control unit(13) for detecting the variation of temperature and pressure of fuel in the fuel supply and return systems ranging from the fuel bombe to the injector. The engine control unit receives physical values varying during the operation of the engine from an intake air temperature sensor(101), an intake air flow sensor(102), a throttle position sensor(103), a crank position sensor(104), a coolant temperature sensor(105), an oxygen sensor(106), and a knock sensor(107).

A fuel system control method of an LPI engine vehicle is provided to turn off an engine by permitting an engine management system ECU to sense the deployment of an air bag and stop the operation of a fuel pump and an injector and shut off first and second cutoff solenoid valves upon occurrence of vehicle crash. A fuel system control method of an LPI engine vehicle comprises a step of opening a first cutoff solenoid valve and a second cutoff solenoid valve, operating a fuel pump, and judging whether fuel leakage has occurred prior to starting of an engine by monitoring the internal pressure of a fuel supply line; a step of turning off the fuel pump and shutting first and second cutoff solenoid valves, if it is judged that fuel leakage has occurred prior to starting of the engine; a step of operating an injector so that a normal fuel supply and injection operation is performed and judging whether fuel leakage has occurred after starting of the engine by monitoring the internal pressure of the fuel supply line, if it is judged in the previous step that no fuel leakage has occurred and engine has started; and a step of turning off the fuel pump and the injector and shutting first and second cutoff solenoid valves if it is judged that fuel leakage has occurred after starting of the engine.

본 발명은 LPI 차량용 리턴리스 연료시스템에 관한 것으로서, 분사되지 않은 연료가 압력조정기를 통해 연료탱크로 리턴되도록 되어 있는 기존 LPI 차량용 연료시스템의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 연료 리턴을 위한 구성요소를 삭제하는 대신 시동 후 연료라인의 맥동 감쇄를 위한 댐퍼와 시동 오프 후 온도상승에 따른 연료압 상승을 방지하는 리저버 탱크 및 솔레노이드를 설치하여 구성한 LPI 차량용 리턴리스 연료시스템에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명의 연료시스템에서는 엔진룸쪽 연료가 연료탱크로 리턴되지 않기 때문에 연료탱크 내 온도 및 압력 상승을 막을 수 있고, 이에 엔진룸쪽 연료라인에서의 압력 상승을 방지할 수 있게 된다. 또한, 연료압 상승에 따른 연료라인의 누설을 줄일 수 있고, 연료분사제어가 용이해지며, 배기가스를 줄일 수 있게 된다. 아울러, 연료가 연료탱크로 리턴되지 않기 때문에 연료탱크 내 소음이 없고, 연료탱크 내 연료가 안정화가 될 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 발명은 LPI 엔진의 소음저감 및 내구성 향상용 연료시스템에 관한 것으로서, LPG스위치의 위치를, 연료펌프 릴레이를 작동시키기 위한 ECU 제어라인에 직접 적용하여 비상시 운전자에 의한 LPG스위치의 전원차단과 동시에 ECU에 관계없이 연료펌프의 작동을 순간적으로 멈추도록 하여 과부하에 따른 소음의 발생을 억제하는 동시에 내구성의 저하를 개선하며, 상기와 같이 전원차단에 따른 연료펌프의 미작동 또는 배선의 단선인 경우, ECU가 자기진단하여 연료펌프 릴레이 고장코드로 저장하고 이를 통해 연료펌프의 고장진단을 저지함에 따라 클러스터의 연료펌프 경고등이 점등되지 않도록 하여 운전자가 연료펌프의 고장으로 오인할 수 없도록 하는 한편, LPG스위치의 순간적인 전원차단에 따른 과전류 및 역기전력은 연료펌프 릴레이의 내부저항에 의 해 소모되도록 하여 별도의 다이오드 사용을 억제할 수 있는 LPI 엔진의 소음저감 및 내구성 향상용 연료시스템에 관한 것이다.

PURPOSE: An improving device of an ignition performance in an LPI(Liquefied Petroleum Injection) vehicle and a method thereof are provided to prevent the fuel rarefaction by raising the fuel pressure and preventing the gasification of fuel. CONSTITUTION: A fuel tank(5) embeds a fuel pump in a fuel system to supply fuel to an injector(9) in a combustion chamber of an engine(2) to be connected with an intake system(1). A supply line(6) supplies the pumped fuel to the combustion chamber by connecting the fuel tank with the injector. A return line(7) returns the remaining fuel from the injector to the fuel tank after stopping the engine. A regulator(8) controls the fuel pressure at the supply or the returning of the fuel through an ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(4) at on/off of an ignition switch(3) by installing in the lines(6,7). A solenoid valve(10) raises the fuel pressure on the lines by installing in the return line and isolating the returning passage at the fuel supply through the ECU. Thereby, the reduction of the ignition performance by the fuel rarefaction is prevented by preventing the gasification of remaining fuel.

PURPOSE: A control method of a variable intake system for reducing emission is provided to improve the performance by reducing emission at the initial stage, and to accelerate easily by improving the performance of the engine. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve at a manifold valve is turned on(110), and a timer is operated by comparing time with the reference time(120). The solenoid valve at the manifold valve is off(130) if measured time is over 20 seconds. Rpm of the engine is compared with the first reference value of 3200 rpm(140). A solenoid valve at an intake valve is on if rpm of the engine is over 3200 rpm(150). Rpm of the engine is compared with the first reference rpm(160). Rpm of the engine is compared with the second reference value of 5100 rpm(170), and the solenoid valve at the manifold valve is turned on(180).
