    Abstract: Apparatuses for FR2 UL gap configuration, and associated configuring methods. In one aspect, a dedicated radio resource control (RRC) signaling is used to configure a UL gap by transmitting. The UL gap configuration may indicate a reference cell to determine a UL gap pattern for a multi-radio dual connectivity (MR-DC) configuration. The UL gap configuration may indicate a system frame number (SFN) and a subframe of the reference cell used for calculating the UL gap pattern. The reference cell can be selected from a list of cells including FR1 cells or can be limited to FR2 cells.

    Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate inter-cell interference mitigation. One example aspect is a user equipment (UE), configured to receive a network assistance indication associated with an interfering signal, where the interfering signal interferes with a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. A time resource allocation of the interfering signal is different than a time resource allocation of the PDSCH transmission. The UE is further configured to determine an interference and noise covariance estimation mechanism based on the network assistance indication then perform interference and noise covariance estimation based on the noise covariance estimation mechanism. The UE is further configured to perform mitigation of the interfering signal using a mitigation mechanism based on the interference and noise covariance estimation.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is provided to select an uplink transmission beam to communicate with a base station in a secondary cell of a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. The UE can communicate with a first base station in a primary cell (PCell), and receive a command from the wireless network to activate a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission to a second base station in a secondary cell (SCell). The second base station can be in a being-activated state. The UE can determine whether an uplink spatial relation configuration is provided to the UE, and determine whether the UE supports beam correspondence. Based on the determinations, the UE can select an uplink transmission beam for the PUCCH transmission to the second base station.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing uplink (UL) gaps to facilitate user equipment (UE) calibration are disclosed herein. A UE determines one or more slot patterns of a slot configuration that is repeated during time division duplex (TDD) communication with a base station. The UE determines a UL gap periodicity (defining periods covering an integer number of repetitions of the slot configuration). The UE then performs UE calibration during one or more semi-persistently configured UL slots of a period of the UL gap periodicity that correspond to UL indication (s) in one or more of a common configuration, a dedicated configuration, and/or a slot format indication (SFI) downlink control information (DCI) for the slot pattern (s) of the slot configuration. Methods of identifying particular semi-persistently configured UL slots of a period to use for the UL gap are also discussed. UL slot indications from dynamic DCI are not used for UL gap purposes.
