Abstract: The present invention relates to a pesticide composition in the form of a water absorbent granular material and to the use of such compositions for combating arthropod pests, in particular soil-living arthropod pests, and nematodes, with particular preference given to soil-living insect pests. The pesticide composition according to the invention as a water absorbent granular material, which contains: i) from 0.001 to 10% by weight of at least one pesticide compound, in particular a pesticide compound that is active against said soil-living arthropod pest, ii) from 80 to 99.999% by weight of at least one granular super absorbent polymer, and iii) water, wherein the % by weight are based on the total weight of the composition, except for water and wherein the components i) and ii) make up at least 90% by weight of the composition except for water, and wherein the water absorbent granular material is obtainable by a process which comprises the treatment of superabsorbent polymer granules with a liquid aqueous composition containing the at least one pesticide compound.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a microemulsion, comprising (A) 0.1 to 50 wt.% of at least one active agent as component A, (B) 0.5 to 40 wt.% of at least one solvent that can be completely mixed with water and selected from the group consisting of esters from acetic acid, lactic acid, benzoic acid, dicarboxylic acids, cyclic esters, cyclic amides, carbonates, sulfurous solvents, phosphates, ethers and mixtures thereof, as component B, (C) 10 to 40 wt.% of at least one non-ionic surfactant as component C, (D) 0 to 10 wt.% further additives as component D, (E) 10 to 90 wt.% water as component E, and (F) 0.1 to 60 wt.% of at least one solvent that can be partially mixed with water as component F, each in relation to the entire microemulsion, wherein the sum of the amounts of components, A, B, C, D, E, and F is 100 wt.%, and the microemulsion does not comprise any anionic surfactants. The invention further relates to a method for the production of said microemulsion and to the use of said microemulsion for treating plants.

La composición pesticida en la forma de gel o sólido contiene i) 0,001 al 50% en peso de al menos un compuesto pesticida que es efectivo contra la placa de artrópodo, ii) 0,5 al 20% en peso de al menos un polímero superabsorbente P con una capacidad de absorción para agua desionizada de al menos 100 g por 1 g de polímero P, y III) 5 al 94,5% en peso de al menos un material de relleno diferente de agua, y iv) 5 al 94,5% en peso de agua, en donde el % en peso es sobre la base del peso total de la composición. La presente invención también se refiere al uso de las composiciones pesticidas descritas en la presente para combatir plagas de artrópodos y a un método para combatir plagas de artrópodos que comprende aplicar una composición en gel tal como se define en la presente en forma directa o como dilución acuosa en una ubicación en la cual la placa de artrópodo entra en contacto con dicha composición.
