The present invention relates to a method for the production of filler-containing paper, cardboard and paperboard, comprising the dewatering of a paper pulp with sheet formation and drying by adding biodegradable polyester fibers and/or polyalkylene carbonate fibers to the paper pulp.

The invention relates to powder compositions, the particles thereof having at least one inorganic pigment, characterised in that at least one biodegradable polyester polymer and/or polyalklene carbonate polymer is arranged on the pigment surface. The invention also relates to a method for producing said powder compositions and to the use thereof as an additive in the production of paper, cardboard and paperboard.

The invention relates to biologically-degradable polyester mixtures, comprising i) 5 to 80 wt. %, based on the total weight of the components i to ii, of a least one polyester made from aliphatic and aromatic dicarboxylic acids and aliphatic dihydroxy compounds and ii) 20 to 95 wt. %, based on the total weight of components i to ii, of at least one biologically-degradable homo- or co-polyester, selected from the group comprising polylactides, polycaprolactones, polyhydroxyalkanoates and polyesters made from aliphatic dicarboxylic acids and aliphatic diols and iii) 0.1 to 15 wt. %, based on the total weight of components i to ii, a) of an epoxide-containing copolymer made from styrol, acrylate ester and/or methacrylate ester, b) of a biphenol-A-epoxide or c) an epoxide-containing natural oil, fatty acid ester or fatty acid amide and iv) 0 to 15 wt. % additive and v) 0 to 50 wt. % inorganic or organic fillers and method for production and use thereof.

The present invention relates to a process for producing cling films, using biodegradable polyesters obtainable by polycondensation of: i) 65 to 80 mol%, based on the components i to ii, one or more dicarboxylic acid derivatives or dicarboxylic acids selected from the group consisting of: succinic acid, adipic acid, sebacic acid, azelaic acid and brassylic acid; ii) 35 to 20 mol%, based on the components i) to ii), of a terephthalic acid derivative; iii) 98 to 102 mol%, based on the components i) to ii), of a C2-C8 alkylenediol or C2-C6 oxyalkylenediol; iv) 0.1 to 2% by weight, based on the polymer obtainable from the components i to iii, of an at least trifunctional crosslinker or at least difunctional chain extender. In addition the invention relates to polymer mixtures which are particularly suitable for producing cling films, and to cling films which contain biodegradable polyesters.
