    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the taking in and out of a plurality of ink cartridges, to prevent wasteful sucking operation, and to keep the ink cartridges. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording apparatus, a keeping box is constituted of a lower case 2 and an upper lid 3 and an ink cartridge 1 is received in the keeping box to be closely brought into contact with a cap 4 for recovery operation. When the upper lid 3 is opened in the direction shown by an arrow (a), the shaft 7 of the pump 5 in the keeping box is raised in the direction shown by an arrow (b) to perform ink sucking operation and waste ink is absorbed by a waste ink absorbing member 6. A cap 8 having no pump is provided on the side opposite to the cap 4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent printing shift in the case of multicolor printing by accurately applying printing to the place desired to be printed of a member to be recorded, in a printing and recording apparatus enabling the manual paper feed of the member to be recorded, by arranging a positioning member for positioning the member to be recorded at a manual paper feed position. CONSTITUTION:In a printing and recording apparatus 1 enabling the manual paper feed of paper 3 being a member to be recorded, lateral and longitudinal positioning printing and recording apparatus accessory members 4, 5 are arranged at a manual paper feed position. When manual paper feed is performed, the paper 3 is inserted in a paper supply port 9 in such a state that the lateral edge part of the paper 3 is allowed to impinge against the accessory member 4 and fed while guided by the accessory member 4 by manually rotating a paper feed roller 6 to align the lateral position of the paper 3. Next, the leading end of the paper 3 is allowed to impinge against the accessory member 5 to achieve the before-and-behind alignment of the paper 3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent ink leakage into a device even when a cartridge type ink vessel is used, and to supply a head safely with ink positively by installing the storage vessel of ink and a leading-out pipe leading out ink and inserting the external end section of the leading-out pipe to an elastic member for sealing, to which a rigid ring is fixed annularly. CONSTITUTION:A flat baggy ink vessel 10 is placed onto a base 24, a bonding member 12 is pushed and penetrated to a needle duct 26, and the vessel 10 is mounted to an ink-jet recorder. Since the vessel 10 is formed to a flat shape, an ink level is hardly changed, and ink can be fed stably. The needle duct 26 is only penetrated to the bonding member 12 composed of an elastic body in order to set up the ink vessel 10, thus facilitating vessel exchange work. A rigid ring 18 made of a metal is fixed annularly at the external end section 17 of the bonding member 12, and the elastic body section 19 of the ring 18 is shrunk by the ring 18, thus preventing contamination due to ink.
