Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain sure transmission even if the selection of G4 and G3 is in error at transmission by identifying it that connection of one line is disabled among lines by a reply signal in response to a signal sent to the line and applying communication to other line while being switched automatically. CONSTITUTION:A selection changeover device 7 receives a reply data from an exchange on a digital line 8 and the propriety of line connection by the digital line 8 is identified and when the connection by the digital line 8 is disabled, it is informed to a G3 line control section 6. Then the G3 line control section 6 uses a telephone line 9 to make a call by using the same address as that for the first call. Then whether or not line connection to the telephone line 9 is applied properly is discriminated and when the line connection is applied, the G3 facsimile communication is applied. Even if the opposite terminal equipment is not clear to be a G4 or a G3 equipment, the call is attained automatically by the G3 equipment when the connection is attained by the G4 equipment.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve transmission efficiency and to prevent the duplicated transmission of a normal page to the reception side by re-transmismitting only an image-reception-errored page in a window size in case the image reception error occurs. CONSTITUTION:An original to be transmitted is read by a reader 1, a bit of image information is compressed by an encoder/decoder 4, and the image information is accumulated in a memory accumulator 5. Accordingly, under an instruction from a central processing unit 2, a line controller 6 transmits/receives various line control signals to the opposite facsimile terminal in accordance with a protocol. In the event of an error, an errored image is re-transmitted from the memory accumulator 5 as in the control of the protocol.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the load on a CPU and to perform a decoding at a high speed even when a high speed CPU is not used by providing a bit move circuit which performs the byte pack of a variable-length code data corresponding to the processing content of the CPU. CONSTITUTION:A parallel compression data (b) of eight bits is loaded at a shift register 7 with a load signal (a). At a shift register 8, data of four bits on which the decoding is not applied are left, and a counter 9 counts the number of data left at the register 8, and a signal (d) becomes 1. A clock control circuit 10 continues to output a clock (e) and lastly, the compression data of eight bits to be decoded at the shift register 8 is accumulated, and a signal (d) goes to '0', and a CPU1 fetches in the data through an input port 4, performing the decoding process. For example, assuming that the decoding process is completed for the compression data of three bits, the CPU1 presets three at the counter 9 through an output port 5, and the output line (d) goes to '1', the clock (e) being supplied. And a parallel data of eight bits is set at the shift register 8.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a facsimile equipment having high reliability of the content of transmission by sending transmission data corresponding to data not receiving a reception acknowledgment signal from a nonvolatile memory when no reception acknowledgment signal is received from an opposite station at the transmission. CONSTITUTION:A hardware disc equipment 50 and a flopy disc equipment 51 are provided as an external storage device, the equipments employ nonvolatile memories but backup memories can be used as the nonvolatile memory. After a prescribed block is sent, when no reception acknowledge signal is received from an opposite station, data of a block corresponding to the reception acknowl edgment signal not received is sent from the hard disc. That is, the data of the corresponding block is sent again. Thus, the reliability of the transmission data is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain high-speed memory access by simple programming by designating an address of a memory and conducting memory access by a counter controlled by a memory read/write signal of a controller. CONSTITUTION:A data bus 1a is connected to an RAM3 via a latch 8. An IO address of a CPU1 is assigned to the latch 8 and selected by the CPU1 via a signal line 2b. That is, the CPU1 accesses the RAM via the latch 8 having a fixed IO address. On the other hand, an address bus 2c of the RAM3 is connected to an output of a counter 6, the counter 6 is incremented by 1 by a read/write signal of the memory via the signal line 2a and the address of the RAM3 is designated by the output.

This device is provided with an original width detection circuit 1 detecting the size of the original and a communication circuit for response reservation with a telephone set 12 and a speaker 6. Further, the tonal reception circuit 17 receiving the reception mode of opposing party and the tonal transmission circuit 8 producing the tonal signal are provided. Further, if the detection circuit 3 does not detect the size of original and the telephone response means does not make reservation of response by the communication, after the reception of the reception mode at the circuit 17, the signal to complete the communication is delivered from the circuit 8 to reduce the burden in the operator.

Thus, a disadvantage of disabled telephone call when the two B channels are used for facsimile communication is avoided.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain data communication in response to the network transfer capability by providing a discrimination means discriminating a transfer capability included in incoming information from an ISDN network and a changeover means switching whether or not a MODEM is used in response to the result of discrimination by the discrimination means. CONSTITUTION:A central control section 10 consists of a CPU, a ROM, a RAM and their peripheral circuit and when an incoming call comes to a D-channel control section 16, the connection of a call is commanded and discriminates the received transfer capability. As a result, in the case of a non-limit digital signal, a command switching the circuit to the position not passing a MODEM control section 14 is outputted to an interlocking switch 17. When a received transfer capability is an audio signal, a command selecting the position of the MODEM control section 14 is outputted to apply data communication with an opposite terminal equipment. Thus, whether or not a MODEM is in use in response to the transfer capability of the network is selected to apply data communication.

Then the original of one page is read and coded. Then the key code is used to apply code conversion of the coded code and it is transmitted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decide a proper recording paper size at the receiver side by sending an actual measurement value of a length of an original in the subscanning direction from the sender side prior to the transmission reception of a picture. CONSTITUTION:In order to represent a characteristic of an original to be sent, a transmitter sends a CDCL (document function list command) 42a. In this case, the transmitter uses the CDCL to designate the size of the sent original. After the interruption of line, the receiver selects recording paper in response to the size of the received original in the main and subscanning direction stored in a RAM 4b. Since the actually measured length of the original in the subscanning direction is sent from the sender side prior to the transmission of a picture, the receiver side decides proper recording paper without applying analysis processing of a received picture data.
