Abstract: PURPOSE:To house a MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) interface in an integrated services digital network by reducing delay at a terminal adaptor by providing a valid flag attaching circuit and a valid flag deciding circuit at the terminal adaptor. CONSTITUTION:When the MIDI interface is housed in the Integrated Services Digital Network ISDN via the terminal adaptor TA, the data of two bytes is composed by bisecting the received MIDI data of one byte at the TA, and a valid flag 1 displaying the presence/absence of the data is attached on a null bit, then, it is transmitted to the ISDN. The TA receiving the data from the ISDN decides the valid flag 1 of reception data, and assembles original MIDI data, and transmits it to a terminal. Thereby, the MIDI data is transmitted to the ISDN by reducing the delay at the TA, and the data can be received from the ISDN.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To constitute an optical star network communication system superior in not only performance or the number of degrees of freedom for the use of terminals but also reliability against trouble by constituting the dual system with an active type device and a passive type device. CONSTITUTION:An active switch part 21A switches a matrix switch part 21A-2 so that communication information from an incoming line where communication is first started is outputted through a required outgoing line. When communication information is inputted through another incoming line while first communication information is outputted through the outgoing line, the matrix switch part 21A-2 is switched to supply communication information to a buffer 21A-4. When an active switch part 21A is faulty because of some cause, a selecting circuit 22 is switched to the side of a passive switch part 21B of higher reliability. Thus, communication information is broadcasted to the other terminals 1 through an optical branch circuit 20, the passive switch part 21B, and the selecting circuit 22.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To monitor the transmission quality in real time regardless of the scale of a system by duplicating the transmission line between communication controllers and comparing the error rate with other adjacent communication controller. CONSTITUTION:A communication controller IN2, for example, folds a data received from a 1st transmission line TL112 to an upperstream communication controller IN1 from a 2nd transmission line TL221 via a loopback circuit 2 and sends the data to a monitoring circuit 5, a branching circuit 10 and an insertion circuit 11 via a synchronizing circuit 4. The monitoring circuit 5 based on the out of synchronizing signal or the like generated by the synchronizing circuit 4 calculates the error rate and sends the result to a comparator 9. On the other hand, a signal folded by the downstream communication controller IN3 is sent to the synchronizing circuit 7 via the reception circuit 6 and the monitoring circuit 8 calculates the error rate and the result is sent to the comparator 9. The comparator 9 compares both to decide the quality of the transmission line.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for movement notice at movement by providing an address generating function generating optionally an address of line set to each line set in the communication system of slot ring performing communication between terminal equipments. CONSTITUTION:A different address is given to line sets 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2 2, 3-1, 3-2 connected to terminal equipments and address generating circuits 1-21, l-22, 2-21, 2-22, 3-21, 3-22 generating optionally line set addresses are given to each line set. In moving a terminal equipment, as the line set address connected with the moved terminal equipment, the line set address connected originally to the terminal equipment is generated by the address generating circuit. Thus, in moving the terminal equipment, since it is not required to inform the movement to the other terminal equipment, the problem of the movement notice is omitted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to set communication zone dynamically ensuring periodicity by providing an area to which a discrimination count value that indicates loop patrol number at the time of present patrol and previous patrol in a frame header, and an area in which previous reservation and reservation information are set in each packet header. CONSTITUTION:A control node 10 updates discrimination count value of a discrimination count section every time a frame passes, and sets the value before update in a counter stack section, and resets information of a previous reservation information section of each packet header PR. When making synchronous communication, previous reservation information is set to the previous reservation information of a packet having no reservation information aud previous reservation information, and at the same time, stores discrimination count value and packet number, and knows success of previous reservation of the packet in the case where reservation information is not set to above-mentioned packet when the loop is patrolled 1-P times, and stores identification count value and packet number at the time when previous reservation is made. When succeeded in previous reservation of specified packet number while number of patrols makes one round, starts synchronous communication from the cycle of next loop patrol number. Asynchronous communication is made utilizing vacant packet without setting reservation information.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the communication efficiency by reserving one and same packet for plural synchronizing continuous communications and using the result. CONSTITUTION:A flag detection section 16 detects the validity/invalidity and reservation/non-reservation as to a packet received by a reception section 11 and the information is fed to a reception packet processing section 18 and a transmission control section 21. When a synchronizing continuous communication request from a terminal equipment exists, the communication request and operating packet number information are fed to the addition/subtraction section 24 of a reservation control section 15 from the control section 21. Further, the value of the operation frequency area of the received packet is set to an operation frequency register 23, the section 24 subtracts the number of operating frequency packets from the value of the operation frequency area, and when the result of subtraction is positive, the establishment of reservation is informed to the transmission control section 21.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect a step-out while an invalid frame is passing and to complete the pull-in by producing the invalid frames so that they remain in the number larger than the frame stages for the protections of synchronization which are used by each node. CONSTITUTION:The pre-announcement signal for the cut of power supply is delivered from a node 7 and detected by a supervisory equipment 2. Then plural invalid frames are produced continuously from a frame generating part 5. A junction box 3 performs a changeover processing when those invalid frames are transmitted at a time point t1. Here this changeover processing changes the length of the invalid frame. The synchronizing signal SY of the first invalid frame is detected at a node 11 connected to a junction box 4 at the downstream side. Then it is impossible to detect the next synchronizing signal after a prescribed time TO. Such actions are carried out in three times. Thus the pull-in control is performed and the frame synchronizing signal SY is detected at a time point t2. Hereafter the signals SY are detected continuously in three times after a prescribed time TO. Then the end of the pull-in is decided and the normal transfer of data is performed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the data transmission efficiency by so forming the titled system that the specified reception station receives the data frame and performs the frame removal, but if not able to receive the data frame, modifies the frame-removal-station displaying bit into the transmitting side-removal and then transmits it. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the frame transmission from the transmitting side, the frame-removal-station displaying bit S/R is made '0' to direct the reception side removal, and the data frame is removed in order that the data is not transmitted to the next transmitting/receiving unit. In case when the reception side is busy, the frame-removal-station displaying bit S/R in the data frame is modified from '0' to '1' and is transmitted. And, in case when the reception side is down, the bit S/R is left being '0', and is transmitted to the transmitting side. What the above signifies is that, the normal reception is informed from the reception side to the transmitting side by removing the data frame, and that the reception-side busy status is informed by modifying the frame-removal-station displaying bit S/R to a transmitting side- removed signal, and further that the reception-side down status is notified by transmitting the bit S/R that lacks the reception-side part. In result, the transmission efficiency is improved.

CONSTITUTION: In testing a line between nodes ND-A and ND-B, an output and an input of a terminal DTEb side of the node ND-B are connected, the test data is transmitted from a terminal DTEa connected to the node ND-A and the terminal device DTEa receives the test data. That is, a loopback line is formed for the test. The test is conducted by the test system like this and the data number in the data speed adjustment buffer built in a multiplex MXa of the node ND-A side is checked to check the operating state of a loopback line.
