Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water dispersion for inkjet recording, having excellent filterability, preservation stability and print density, to provide the water dispersion produced by the method, and to provide a water-based ink for the inkjet recording, containing the water dispersion. SOLUTION: (1) The method for producing the water dispersion for the inkjet recording includes a step I for adding a cationic polymer to a water dispersion containing anionic polymer particles containing a coloring matter after regulating the pH of the water dispersion so as to be 8-12, and a step II for regulating the pH of the obtained water dispersion so as to be 7-9 by reducing the pH of the water dispersion.
