CONSTITUTION: A slurry of fine silica powder is produced by compounding 100pts.wt. of fine silica powder, 25W300pts. of water, 1W200pts. of a fatty acid (salt), oil or fat, and/or their derivative, 0W10pts. of a dispersant and 0W10pts. of an emulsifier, and dispersing the components at a shear rate of 10 2 W10 7 sec -1 . PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an admixture for a hydraulic composition, which can impart excellent fluidity retention to a hydraulic composition containing hydraulic powder, also can minimize temperature dependence of fluidity development with respect to the addition amount.SOLUTION: An admixture for a hydraulic composition includes the following components (A) to (C), where the weight ratio {(B)/[(A)+(C)]} of the component (B) to the total of components (A) and (C) is 0.10-0.70. The component (A) is a copolymer obtained by polymerizing a specific monomer (A1) and a specific monomer (A2). The component (B) is a copolymer obtained by polymerizing monomers including a specific monomer (B1) and a specific monomer (B2), where the total of the monomer (B1) and the monomer (B2) is 90 wt.% or more in the whole constituting monomers, the mole ratio [monomer (B1)/monomer (B2)] of the monomer (B1) to the monomer (B2) is 5/95 to 35/65, and the weight-average molecular weight is 6,000-27,000. The component (C) is polyethylene glycol whose weight-average molecular weight is 6,000-50,000.

PURPOSE:To provide a water-reducing agent and a slump-loss preventing agent to be used in a cement composition such as cement paste, mortar and concrete and to provide a process for producing concrete by using the cement dispersing agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective cement additive is composed of the following two components (A) and (B). (A) A condensation product produced by the condensation or co-condensation of one or more compounds selected from phenol, its derivative, melamine, its derivative and urea with formaldehyde in the presence of an amino-based polymerization terminator and (B) a polyethylene oxide and/or an ethylene oxide adduct of a compound having active hydrogen atom. The process for the production of concrete is characterized by the combined use of the cement additive with the other cement additives. The cement additive of the present invention remarkably exhibits excellent water-reducing effect and slump-loss preventing effect in wide W/C (water/cement) range compared with conventional dispersing agent. It has excellent foam-stabilizing effect in concrete and improves the strength of the concrete.
