    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title cosmetic which can be uniformly applied to skin to improve shaving quality without any damage to simplicity and speediness of electric shavers by adding a specific amount of a dust of a specific particle size, a spherical form and less than a prescribed value of true specific gravity to a volatile carrier. CONSTITUTION:0.1 to 10wt.% of a dust of spherical particles of 1 to 50mu particle size and 1.5 or less true specific gravity such as nylon, polystyrene, polytetrafluoroethylene are added to more than 50wt.% of a volatile carrier such as a cyclic dimethylpolysiloxane, lower alcohol of 1 to 4 carbon atoms) to give the subject preshaving cosmetic for electric shavers. The cosmetic gives excellent lubricity between the outer blades of the electric shavers and the skin surface, thus improving shave feeling, reducing beard counts remaining uncut, enabling deep shaving with improved skin feeling after shaving.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:Cosmetic having extremely improved skin abosrption of anti-inflammatory drug, obtained by blending an anti-inflammatory drug-containing cosmetic composition with a carbonic acid gas or a carbonic acid gas-evolving substance. CONSTITUTION:An anti-inflammatory drug-containing cosmetic composition is blended with a carbonic acid gas or a carbonic acid gas-evolving substance. An amount of an anti-inflammatory drug blended is preferably 0.001-5wt%, and amount of carbonic acid gas is preferably >=60ppm. The anti-inflammatory drug-containing cosmetic composition is put in a pressure container, a high-pressure cabonic acid gas is introuduced into it, or a carbonic acid gas-evolving source such as dry ice, etc. is added to the container, and it is closed. The cosmetic is applied by a method such as jetting contents in use, supporting a carbonate and an acid in the absence of water on a carrier such as nonwoven fabric, cloth, etc., supporting further the anti-inflammatory drug-containing cosmetic composition together, applying it to the affected part to be coated in use, followed by adding water to it so that a carbonic acid gas is evolved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a magnetic recording medium capable of being easily imparted with texture and reducing the attracting force between a magnetic recording medium and a magnetic head by specifying an cross angle formed by workscars of both surfaces of a substrate ground with ductility mode treatment by grindstone. SOLUTION: Fan shaped workscars are formed on both surface of the substrate ground with ductility mode treatment. The workcscars form a cross angle of 10-90 degrees with one surfaces and another surface of the substrate. Moreover, set cutting depths of whetstones at the time of the ductility mode treatment are preferably 0.05-20 μm from the viewpoint of a device positioning accuracy and from the viewpoint of suppressing grinding loads and the generation of microcracks. Moreover, the cross angle is preferable to be not smaller than 10 degrees from the viewpoint of avoiding a head attraction or the positioning accuracy of the substrate at the time of grinding workings. Then, the cross angle which is said here is an angle θformed by tangents m, n of respective workscars at intersections of workscars to be formed on respective front and back surfaces of the substrate.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity when a substrate main body is processed by specifying a concentricity and a roundness of the carbon substrate main body before the surface is processed. SOLUTION: After a carbon substrate main body 1A is backed, surface- processing and chamfering are carried out thereby the produce the magnetic disk carbon substrate (GC substrate) 1 of 1.8-inch outer diameter. The concentricity of the substrate main body 1A after the baking and carbonization before the surface-processing is 300μm or smaller and, a roundness thereof is not larger than 300μm. Accordingly, a time required for the chamfering of the substrate main body 1A becomes short, thereby, productivity is improved. Moreover, a flatness of the substrate main body 1A before the surface-processing after the backing and carbonization is not larger than 50μm, and the thickness irregularity in one substrate main body 1A is not larger than 50μm. It is hence eliminated to add an extra grind margin to improve the flatness in a lapping process or grind with a small grinding pressure. The process time is shortened and the productivity is improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove abnormal projections by forming a magnetic layer on a nonmagnetic substrate and forming a protective layer on this magnetic layer, then irradiating this nonmagnetic substrate with a laser beam in parallel therewith. SOLUTION: The irradiation with the laser beam is execute by rotating a disk 1 at about 100rpm speed and irradiating the disk 1 with the laser beam converged and condensed by a lens system in parallel therewith. At this time, the abnormal projection 2 is controlled to the extent that the end of a luminous flux comes into or does not come into contact with the disk surface according to forming conditions. The disk 1 is so arranged to face outside in such a manner that the surface to be formed with the protective layer may be irradiated with the laser beam. The removal of the projection is attained by thermal energy if the laser beam L is passed near the abnormal projection even if the laser beam does not come into contact with the abnormal projection.
