    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a system designed to detect stem positions in high accuracy even if the traveling conditions such as speed for a reaper are changed. CONSTITUTION:The objective system has (A) a stem position detective means R to detect such position after stem movement in the lateral width direction of the machine body on contact of a stem with a contact piece 10 which is free to move in said, direction and installed in such a state as to be returningly energetized on the side of stems aligned at specified planting intervals longitudinally for the machine body, (B) a sampling means 100 to sample the information given by the means R at each specified traveling distance or time, and (C) a discriminating means 101 to determine stem position along said direction based on the information from the means 100. The means 101 determines the maximum value among plural number of the information from the means R sampled during the machine body travels at least planting distance as the stem position along the lateral width direction for the machine body.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution and to improve detecting accuracy by providing a plurality of contact parts in a detecting body at the different phases, and constituting the intervals between the tips and the supporting points of the contact parts so that the intervals become sequentially small. CONSTITUTION:In a height detecting apparatus, a detecting body 20 and a sensor 21 for detecting the moving angle of the detecting body 20 are provided. The height is detected based on the movement of the detecting body 20 from the initial attitude. Two plate-shaped contact parts S1 and S2 in the different phases are provided in the detecting body 20. The intervals between the respective tips and supporting points of the contact parts S1 and S2 are constituted so that the intervals become sequentially small. When the height of a material to be processed is increased, the contact parts S1 and S2 are sequentially brought into contact with the upper part of the material to be treated. Thus, the detecting accuracy can be improved. The detected data of the height detecting apparatus, i.e., the outputs of the output signal of the sensor 21, are periodically changed with the movements of the movement selecting plates. Therefore, the output signals are sampled at a preset period. Then, a plurality of average values can be used as the data corresponding to the height.

CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a layer of materials to be treated on a shaking sifter 17 is monitored by a sieve sensor (S4). In case the thickness of the layer of materials to be treated is larger than the first set value and lower than the second set value (state immediately before clogging), the capacity of a separator (B) is controlled not towards the reduction side but only towards the increase side. When the thickness of the layer of materials to be treated has a value larger than the second set value (state of clogging), the capacity of the separator (B) is kept to a value of the maximum capacity or a value in the vicinity thereof.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep the grading accuracy by keeping the treating capacity to a prescribed level when the thickness of the layer of the treating object is thinner than a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of the layer of the treating object on a vibration grading plate 17 is detected by a sieve sensor S4 of a treating object volume detection means. When the detected level is decreased below a prescribed level, a controlling means lowers the opening degree of a chaff sieve by two grades and sets the opening degree as the final controlling level of the chaff sieve and, at the same time, lowers the air flow of a winnower by one grade to decrease the treating capacity of the grading apparatus B by a prescribed level by the combined effect of the lowering of the chaff sieve opening and the air flow. The volume of the treating object is gradually increased after the above adjustment. The grading accuracy of the chaff sieve 20 and the winnower 16 of the grading apparatus B can be maintained by this process.
