PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein improved compensation techniques are needed because recent transmission rates, including those exceeding 500 MHz, have exceeded the capabilities of the conventional techniques. SOLUTION: An electrical connector with improved crosstalk compensation is disclosed. By equipping it with at least one coupling with a frequency dependence different from other couplings in the connector, crosstalk compensation is improved over a greater frequency range. The different frequency dependency may, for example, be used to compensate for phase shifts caused by distances between compensation circuitry and the plug/jack interface. Embodiments for decreasing these distances are also disclosed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously document the physical paths of network interconnections and the physical locations of network components including network connectors or ports in such paths and destination devices e.g., personal computers or telephones. SOLUTION: A network documentation system utilizes software to direct the source device to sequentially send query signals directed to destination devices to which it is connected, and to intermediate network path elements in each designated zone to which it is connected. The response signals are interpreted by the software to document the network configuration. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal which, while reducing a cross-talk and a delay time difference, is more powerful and not attenuating. SOLUTION: A communication cable has an insulated and corrugated conductor 12. The corrugated conductor has ridges 16 and concave parts 17 and in an area of the concave part, there is provided a space between an insulator 14 and an external surface of a wire 10. In an application case, a ridge 20 and a concave part 21 form a cross section of a sine wave contoured outer shape. The insulator can be provided with a corrugated part and the corrugated part of the insulator can be matched with the corrugated part of the conductor. A plurality of wires can be assembled to make one communication cable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve crosstalk in a termination region of jacks and control variations of termination positions between jacks. SOLUTION: The wire containment cap 104 has twisted pair slots for routing a twisted wire pair through the cap. The twisted pair slots are provided with funnel-shaped entrances to assist the routing of the twisted wire pair from the rear end of the wire containment cap toward wire slots of the wire containment cap. The wire containment cap may be provided in a focal distance in a shielded or unshielded manner, and is adapted for use in a communication jack 100 assembly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector decreasing cross talk between pair conductors connected in the connector and simply being connected, and to decrease cross talk between twist pair type conductors connected in the connector. SOLUTION: A modular type plug connector 20 has a positioning passage 30 for almost plane column-like conductors for positioning in order to connect an individual conductor 21 with a plurality of plane insulator peeling-off contacts 36. A plurality of conductor connecting slots 34 are formed so as to be parallel to each conductor positioning passage and communicate with each other, and while the contacts are connected, when the insulator peeling off-contacts are put in the conductors, each conductor is energized, and shifts positions of adjacent conductors. a latch arm 56 having a free end is installed in a modular type plug, the free end 52 is extended downward toward the peak wall 25 of the connector, and terminated in a position adjacent to the surface of the connector, or extended in a recessed part on the surface of the connector. SOLUTION: A terminal applicator has a terminal advancing mechanism containing a means to reciprocatively advance and retreat a supply finger 52 to elastically energize a terminal strip to an advanced second position adjusted to a crimp die 57 from a first position and means 62 and 64 to regulate an advance limit and an retreat limit by controlling reciprocating motion of the terminal advancing mechanism by the interaction with the supply finger 52.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a cross talk by balancing both of inductive and capacitive couplings.SOLUTION: A network cable jack is provided with a printed circuit board, i.e., PCB(h) for balancing inductive and capacitive couplings. Usage of the PCB allows formation of a compact trace path without significantly increasing manufacturing costs. Two different inductance regions separated by a neutral region are provided in each trace path, so as to significantly gain a degree of freedom for designing a PCB trace pattern. A pair of inductive coupling regions cooperatively offset both of a size and a phase angle of the inductive couplings caused by a specific plug and a contact of the jack.
