Abstract: PURPOSE:To securely prevent bad effects from being exerted on printing at the time of supplying a paper, by linking to a moving means a canceling means for moving the moving means in the direction for canceling the pressing of a printing paper and a paper-supplying roller against each other when the trailing end of the paper is passed through the paper-supplying roller. CONSTITUTION:When the leading end of a printing paper 8 supplied to a printing part 7 by a paper-supplying tray 17 reaches a position between a platen 14 and a pinch roller 58, a paper-supplying lever 21 is slightly turned downward by an operating plate 121 or the like. Since a pressed condition of the paper 8 is canceled by a paper-supplying roller 10 and a bottom plate 18 of the tray 17, needless load variations are not generated on the side of a printing part or the like when the trailing end of the paper 8 comes off the roller 10 at the time of printing, so that no vertical streaks are formed on the printing side of the paper 8. Since the paper 8 and the roller 10 are pressed against each other only in a paper-supplying condition, the roller 10 and a support shaft 11 therefor can be prevented from being deformed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance workability of film replacing work y providing means for rotatably holding a roll recording medium comprising a print film wound tubularly thereby preventing the print from being unwound. SOLUTION: A print film cassette 1 holds a print film section 4 comprising a print film 2 wound around a roll core 3 integrally and rotatably on a holder 5. The holder 5 comprises tubular symmetric holding members 6A-B of substantially same size as the winding diameter of the print film 2 made of a material having low frictional coefficient, e.g. plastic. Sleeves 7A-B for connecting the print film section 4 with the holder 5 are arranged through sleeve receivers 8A-B in regions corresponding to the print film section 4 on one inner sides 6C-D facing the holding members 6A-B. The third holding members 6A-B are provided with claws 9A-B at least three positions. Each claw 9A-B prevents the print film 2 from being unwound thus facilitating the replacing work.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily obtain information of a film by a method wherein an information mark is detected in a condition that a spool is stopped and a ring is rotated when the information of the film such as a kind, a size and a sensitivity is read before printing. SOLUTION: This ink ribbon 10 comprises an ink film 11 which is coated with inks of Y (yellow), C (cyan) and M (magenta) colors and a pair of spools, i.e., a supply spool 20 and a winding spool, each made of a synthetic resin to which the ink film 11 is wound. A ring 30 made of a synthetic resin is rotatably supported to a shaft section 24 of the supply spool 20. An information mark 33 indicative of information of a rotation quantity of the ring 30 and an information mark 34 indicative of film information are printed on a circumference face of the ring 30 in a type of black/white bar code symbol, respectively.

CONSTITUTION:On an ink ribbon 10, there is each formed a receiving layer patch 23 to be transferred for improving the surface property of a printing paper, Y color (yellow) patch 24 of the first color for conducting color printing, M color (mazenta) patch 25 of the second color, and C color (cyan) patch 26 of the third color on a ribbon base film. On the initiation end of the receiving layer patch 23, a header mark 27 for indicating the cue position of patches is displayed on an entire portion of width of each patch, and on the initiation ends of patch marks 24, 25, 26 of each color patch are shown patch marks 28, 29 30 for indicating the cue position of each patch ranging over a half portion of the ink ribbon 10 in width. The header mark 27 and respective patch marks 28-30 are detected by a sensor.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the recording density from being influenced by the temperatures of an ink ribbon, recording paper and platen roller in addition to the outside air temperature, and increase the recording speed, for a recording mechanism of a heat transfer printer. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a platen roller 5 is forcedly raised or lowered, and is controlled to be a suitable temperature always for recording by a method wherein the temperature of the platen roller 5 is detected by a temperature sensor 10 and monitored by a control unit 13, and power is supplied to a heating body 9, or air is blown to the inside of the platen roller 5 from a fan motor 11. By this method, the temperature of a recording paper and ink ribbon, which are brought into contact with the platen roller 5 at the time of recording, are stably raised in response to the heating quantity of a recording head, and the recording density is kept stable. At the same time, the recording speed is improved by heating the ink to its sublimation temperature or melting temperature with little heating by the recording head.
