Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain thin profile for the entire device by meshing with a gear having a unidirectional clutch to at least one gear of a couple of reel bases. CONSTITUTION:A gear 18 having a unidirectional clutch 17 meshes with a gear 12 provided at least one of reel bases 2, 3. In the FWD system mode such as recording or reproduction of a tape, the gear 18 having the unidirectional clutch 17 is driven nearly at no load together with the gear 12 of the reel base 2. In the RVS mode at tape rewinding or the like, the gear 18 is stopped by the clutch 17 and a load is applied to the gear 12 of the reel base 2 to suppress idle rotation of the reel base. Thus, the thickness required for a brake drum is not required, then the device profile is made thin by the thickness.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain thin profile to the entire device by forming a slot to the outer circumference of a supply reel base, winding a strip such as a wire to the slot to change the tape tension of a tape run from the supply reel base to a rotary head drum thereby making the thickness of the supply reel base in the height (vertical) direction. CONSTITUTION:A slot 14 whose cross section is U-shaped is formed into an annular shape to the upper outer circumferential face 3c of a gear 3b of a supply reel base 3, and a very thin wire 15 as a strip is wound onto the slot 14. Both ends 15a, 15b of the wire 15 are caulked in a ring to a fastening plate 16. Since the very thin wire 15 is used in place of a conventional wide band brake, since it is not required to provide a contact face of a band brake having a thick thickness to the upper outer circumferential face 3c of the gear 3b of the supply reel base 3, the thickness H in the direction of height of the supply reel base 3 is made thin. Thus, the thin profile for the entire device is attained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely position the inserting and taking off positions of a cassette by abutting the guide part of the cover part of a cassette holder against a pressing ball at two positions. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 1 is loaded and subjected to a cover closing operation, a slider 17 slides the cassette to a rear part with the energizing of a spring 57. When the cover is opened by pushing an ejection button, the locking part 37a of a circular arcuate guide piece 35 and the ball 40 of a pressing member 38 are abutted and stop once in a temporarily releasing state and the dropping of the cassette is prevented by a dropping prevention piece 20. By opening the cover with a hand further, the ball 40 runs over a stepping part 37, abutting against the locking part 37b and the turning in the cover closing direction is regulated. Consequently the positioning of the insertion and taking off of the cassette is ensured by abutting the ball 40 against locking part 37 and the dropping of the cassette caused by a careless ejection operation can be prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which can suppress a variation in characteristics among individual heating elements while preventing an enlargement of head size, and to provide its manufacturing process.
SOLUTION: The thermal head 20A comprises an insulating substrate 21, a plurality of heating elements 23 arranged linearly on the substrate 21, and a common electrode 25 and an individual electrode 24 connected with the heating element 23, respectively, wherein the heating element 23 consists of a plurality of heating element layers 23a and 23b laminated through an interlayer dielectric 27. Consequently, the conduction distance of a resistor layer can be lengthened without requiring a large area for forming the heating elements on the substrate, and the heating value of the heating element 23 can be increased without enlarging the head size. Furthermore, the heating element 23 can be made using a resistor material of relatively low specific resistance, and an impact of variation in manufacture of individual heating elements 23 on the heat generation characteristics can be reduced.

The nut 1 is fixed at the lens holding frame 2. Also, the nut 1 is provided with a hinge part 1d. The nut 1 that receives vibration caused in a radial direction 10 by the rotational movement of the lead screw 6 responds flexibly to the rocking movement caused on right and left sides in the radial direction 10 at the hinge part 1d. Thus, the nut 1 absorbs the vibration caused in the radial direction 10 of the lead screw 6, so that backlash in the thrust direction 9 is nut generated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image pickup device by which no ghost image is generated resulting from a light reflected in an image pickup face of a CCD or in an outer circumferential ridge of the CCD that is reflected in an ND filter and then made incident onto the image pickup face of the CCD again. SOLUTION: The image pickup device is provided with image pickup lenses 1-4, a CCD 7 acting like an image pickup element that converts a light passing through the image pickup lenses 1-4 into an electric signal, and an ND filter 13 serving as a luminous amount limit filter to limit a luminous quantity of a light to the CCD 7 and placed between the image pickup lenses 1-4 and the CCD 7, and an AR film 14 as a reflection prevention means that does not reflect a light incident onto a face opposite to the CCD 7 in an image pickup face 7a of the CCD 7 is formed for the ND filter 13. Thus, even when the light reflected in the image pickup face of the image pickup element or the outer circumferential ridge of the image pickup element is made incident onto the luminous quantity limit filter, the reflected light is not made incident onto the image pickup face of the image pickup element again and then production of a ghost image resulting from the reflected light in the image pickup face of the image pickup element or the outer circumferential ridge of the image pickup element is prevented.

SOLUTION: A shutter member 31 is formed, for example, of a plastic member. In this case, it is satisfactory if the end part 5a of the shutter member 5 formed of a metal member is curved a little and a plastic member is molded integrally to wrap the end part 5a and to allow one side of plastic member to be projected to a large extent to the front side and the other side thereof to be projected a little to the rear surface side. When such shutter member 31 is formed as explained above, since it is guided by a thinner area 14a of the lower shell 2 and a thinner area of the upper shell 3 and the shutter member 5 formed of a metal material can realize the opening or closing operation without contact with the internal wall of the lower shell 2, generation of dust such as chip which may be generated through friction of the surfaces can be prevented.
