Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recommend contents while taking features of how heterogeneous meta-data influence each other into consideration. SOLUTION: A matrix generation part 18 generates a meta-data matrix consisting of rows corresponding to a meta-data group M1 and a meta-data group M2 respectively and columns corresponding to contents. A weighting processing par t 19 and an LSA arithmetic part individually weight a 1st partial matrix corresponding to the meta-data group M1 and a 2nd partial matrix corresponding to the meta-data group M2 while taking features of how heterogeneous meta-data influence each other into consideration. The matrix generation part 18 puts together the 1st partial matrix and 2nd partial matrix which have been weighted individually to generate a composite approximate matrix. A content recommendation part 23 uses the partial approximate matrix to recommend contents. This invention is applicable to an information processor recommending contents. SOLUTION: A relevancy information storage part 2 stores one or more relevancy information generated by a history processing part 1, and constituted of one or more information related with a user who uses the information processor during the output of already used main contents and in its neighboring time zone. A user use accessory contents deciding part 6 decides accessory contents whose output during the output of new user use main contents or before and after that is judged to be suitable for a user, and outputs it as user use accessory contents based on one or more relevancy information stored in the relevancy information storing part 2 and one or more accessory contents stored in the accessory contents storing part 3. SOLUTION: A similar program recommending part 43 recommends a similar recommend program by vector matching and outputs it to a recommend program determining part 49. On the basis of set items, a routine program recommending part 53 recommends a routine recommend program and outputs it to the recommend program determining part 49. On the basis of an operation history stored in a history storage part 47, an acceptance rate calculating part 48 calculates the accept rates of the routine recommend program and the similar recommend program. On the basis of the accept rates calculated by the accept rate calculating part 48, the recommend program determining part 49 determines the numbers of the routine recommend programs and of the similar recommend programs, generated a recommend program display picture and outputs it to a recording and reproducing apparatus by a recommend information output part 50. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a display format corresponding to the degree of recommendation to recommend a program. SOLUTION: In step S1, recommended programs are detected. In step S2, a highly recommended program with highest preference of a user is selected from among the detected recommended programs, and a message type recommendation screen displayed during recommendation of the program is generated. In step S3, a list-type recommendation screen displayed during recommending recommendation programs other than the highly recommended program is generated. Thus, a recommendation screen, with a display format relative to the recommendation degree, can be presented. SOLUTION: A positive history vector UP is acquired in a step S161, and a standard taste vector APP showing general taste is acquired in a step S161. In a step S163, cosine distances between the standard taste vector APP and the positive history vector UP are calculated by large items. According as cosine distances are longer, the degree of similarity between the standard taste vector APP and the positive history vector UP is higher. In a step S164, reciprocals of cosine distances are obtained by large items to generate an effect vector EfUP on the basis of cosine distance calculated in the step S163, and then processing is terminated. Of the related information listed in the presenting order to be periodically presented, related information to be presented next (high priority) is acquired. SOLUTION: This device has a user data region which consists of plural logic blocks and in which animation data and/or sound data are stored, and plural information region in which control information of the user data region is stored, and the control information region consists of a divided information region in which divided position information of the user data region and the control information region are stored, a contents control region in which contents information indicating contents of the user data region is stored, and a defect control region in which defective information of the each logic block of the user data region is stored, and control information to be stored in the control information region of the recording medium in which a update number of times region in which numbers indicating the number of times of updating the divided position information, the contents information, and the defect information are stored is added to the divided information region, the contents control region, and the defect control region is generated, while the control information of the control information region is updated.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the device capable of efficiently recording and reproducing huge picture and sound information by possessing a recording medium having one or plural spiral track(s) on its recording and reproducing surface, one or plural recording and reproducing head(s) and a recording medium rotating motor whose rotation is controllable. SOLUTION: A signal reproduced by using a magnetic head 2 from a magnetic disk 1 is turned into a digital signal through a read amplifier 5 and an A/D converter 7. The digital signal is decoded by a R/W channel circuit 8, and is sent through a hard disk controller 10 to a host side from a bus 20 by control of an MPU(microprocessor unit) 11. A recording data sent from the host side is sent through the hard disk controller 10 to the R/W channel circuit 8 by control of the MPU. In this circuit 8, the recording data is encoded to generate a recording signal. This recording signal is sent through a write amplifier 6 to a magnetic head 2, and is recorded on the magnetic disk 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a system optimum for a recording device of data such as a picture, sound, etc., having the feature of huge and indefinite length. SOLUTION: The lead of a data group which is an editing unit of the picture, sound, etc., is detected in a HDD(hard disk drive) 1, and just before that time, a violation code is added as a code having feature and recorded on a disk 10. At the time of data reproduction, the violation code added is detected in a track and the data group is accessed.
