SOLUTION: In a method for producing a polyester by the polycondensatin of a product formed by the esterification of a dicarboxylic acid with a diol, the molar ratio R1 (diol/dicarboxylic acid) of the diol to the dicarboxylic acid charged to be subjected to esterification is set at 1.10 or lower, and water in an amount of 10 wt.% or lower of the sum of the dicarboxylic acid and the diol is added when the mixture of the acid and the diol is prepared, thus enabling a polymer having a high degree of polymerization to be obtained in a shorter time.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester composition good in thermal stability, transparency and polymer color tone, excellent in molding/forming processabilities, and useful for fibers, etc., by including specific phosphorus compound(s) and through polycondensation reaction without decline in the reactivity.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester composition having excellent abrasion resistance, by compounding a polyester with a specific amount of particles of calcium phosphate which have a specific volume average value and a specific relative standard derivative with respect to particle diameters. SOLUTION: Particles of calcium phosphate which have a volume average particle diameter of 0.01 to 3.0μm, a relative standard deviation represented by formulae I and II, wherein δ is a relative standard deviation, D is a number average particle diameter (μm), Di is a particle diameter (μm) and (n) is the number of particles, of 0.5 or less, a relative surface area of 10m /g or less and a Ca/P atomic ratio of 1.3 to 2.2 are mixed and agitated with ethylene glycol at a predetermined weight ratio, to thereby prepare an ethylene glycol slurry of calcium phosphate particles. And then, after ethylene glycol and an aromatic carbonic diester are subjected to transesterification, the resultant reaction mixture is mixed with the ethylene glycol slurry, a catalyst and a thermal stabilizer and subjected to condensation polymerization, thereby obtaining a polyester composition containing 0.001 to 10wt.% of calcium phosphate particles. This composition is melt-kneaded and extruded using an extruder. The extruded product is oriented and then heat-treated, so that a film having projections on its surface in a number of 2×10 to 5×10 /mm is produced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a film whose abrasion resistance at traveling repeatedly is excellent and deterioration of image quality at dubbing is low by adding monoclinic or tetragonal zirconium oxide particle in one upmost outer layer of a laminate film consisting of two-layer structure. CONSTITUTION:As a polyester for constituting a laminate film, polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate which can form the film is preferable. Ordinarily, zirconium oxide particle can be obtained from zirconium ore to be produced naturally. The zirconium oxide particle can be produced by melting zircon sand, making oxy-zirconium chloride, and burning zirconium hydroxide. The zirconium oxide particle has a monoclinic or tetragonal crystal structure, and the monoclinic system and the tetragonal system may be mixed. The zirconium oxide particle is added in at least one utmost outer layer of the laminate film consisting of at least two-layer structure.
